Super high quality.
February 07, 2012

It has been about ten years since I have boarded and this year I am getting back into it. These gloves at first impression seemed very impressive. The materials used are clearly top of the line. The thread used for all stitching is also very very strong. I am between a large and xtra large but I did order the large. With both the liner on and the glove combined I was amazed how warm these gloves were. However I felt that wearing the gloves without the liner let my hands be more flexible and with adequate warmth. The best part is I ordered on a monday night and received my package Wednesday morning. I will only by from Altrec from now on.

I love the DaKine Scout Gloves. Very warm gloves with quality material. I wore them out in the local mountains and they are by far the warmest gloves I've owned. I decided to try out DaKine because I got them on sale... what a Great value!

The fact that it includes "inside gloves", for hand tasks is a huge plus! The fit of the gloves is excellent! Its fit enough that your hand is always in contact with the fabric, which helps to keep you warm! Overall construction is good, while I do have some concerns in the finger side stitches, where previous gloves have failed.. Though they haven't failed, I'm cautious of their durability.. time will tell but for the price I think we have a winner.

Pros: Great design, Performance

Did not get to wear the gloves as much as I normally would due to the warm Northeast weather. But my hands did stay very dry and were kept warm on the far and few colder nights.

2 Sets of Gloves in 1
November 12, 2012

These are really nice gloves. They come with removable liners that can be worn by themselves to take the chill off of your hands. I've used the liners for running and they work great. The outer shell is long enough to protect the wrist and keep snow out. The shells can also be worn without the liners and are pretty warm by themselves. The only issue I have with the gloves is that they are a bit tight when trying to wear with the liners. I recommend ordering one size up from your normal glove size.

Great gloves
November 25, 2012

These gloves are warm and keep my fingers dry. Cant find anything bad about them. Dakine is always a great choice for outdoor gear. This is my first purchase through Altrec and I had my stuff arrive on time and in great shape.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Perfect for beginners
September 08, 2009

Haven't used them in the snow yet, but they feel very warm and stayed completely dry when I held my hands under the sink. For their price and me being a beginner I think they will work just fine.

I bought these for my son and he loves them. This is the second year using them.

Great gloves for good price.

I just got the gloves and I have to say they are awesome. Sizing chart is very accurate, I was on the edge between an XL and a large and I took the large, because there is a lot of extra space at the end of each finger. Overall, gloves are very warm and comfortable and the removable liner is a big plus. Get these gloves you will not regret it. Worth every penny.

They fit like a glove!
March 04, 2011

I purchased these gloves for my boyfriend for Christmas, and when they arrived I was jealous that I didn't purchase myself a pair. He loves the fit, the warmth, the style (okay, he doesn't really care about the style), and the thumb squeegee. Haha, the thumb squeegee is a pretty silly concept, but this glove is so amazing that it can even pull off a concept like that. Oh, and the price was very reasonable as well. This was a great purchase. I would recommend these gloves to anyone!

Great Gloves
December 14, 2011

I've always liked the long cuffs on Dakine gloves, and the quality of the liners. The liners are ideal gloves for cold weather where you don't need the full insulation of the shell. Used them a few times in 25 degree weather and hands were perfectly comfortable. It honestly hasn't been cold enough to need the liners, but comparing them to the old Dakine's I have, these are going to cut it just fine! A big bonus for me is that the palm of the glove has the rubber like coating that feels like it would hold up real well carrying a sharp board and pulling on bindings.

Good snowboarding gloves
October 19, 2012

Bought these for my picky son. He has to have warm snowboard gloves or he doesn't board. It is hard to find a pair that is functional and looks good but so far he is very happy with this purchase. He wears the liners on warmer days just to school and keeps the gloves for days he rides. They are nicely constructed and I think they will hold up to his abuse this winter!

Glad I found You =)
November 06, 2012

I am preparing for my March'13 ski trip to Japan and for the first time seeing snow. Yes, I am from Singapore, a land with Sun and Rain only and nothing else. I bought this pair of gloves during the great offer and I am glad I found it. The quality is great! There are 2 pairs of gloves actually. the base layer pair provides a substaintial warm while you are not skiing and the outer shell provides the waterproof function. superb pairing. As this gloves is unisex, I bought M for both my wife and myself. Its fit great for my wife and just nice for me. Overall, worth it for now, until March'13, I will review again if it differs.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Great Glove - Want another pair!
December 19, 2009

Gloves are awesome and couldn't wait to use them on the slopes but the cinch tab wasn't sewn on right and came off when trying them on! I'm ordering another pair right now! Love the liner!
