I love everything about this bag. I can fit all of my gear (helmet, goggles, pants, jacket, gloves, and base layers on top) and keep my boots separate in the bottom layer. I love that it is tarp lined and that it seems very durable. Can't wait to test it out on a trip to Vermont in a few days!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I saw this bag in the cafeteria at a ski resort and I love Dakine products, so I looked it up on Altrec and purchased it as a gear/boot option. I was not disappointed when the bag arrived. I love the split design and there is a ton of room for my gear. I just brought it with me to Montana and it fit my ski boots easily in the bottom section and all of my gear - coat, pants, base layers, hats, mitts, goggles... even my helmet - fit in the top section. Amazing functionality aside, the design/pattern - I purchased the grey/blue/yellow checks - is absolutely adorable and fun. I recieved a few compliments from people in the airport. I took a gamble and used the bag as a carry-on and it fits in the overhead compartment, even though it's slightly larger than the specs listed on the airline websites as acceptable carry-on dimesions. The only con - and it's not even that bad - is that once the bag is full of gear (read: heavy), I found the shoulder strap to be awkward to use and walk around with because the bag (and my hard ski boots) kept hitting the backs of my legs. Fortunately, there are shorter carrying handles to allieviate the issue. I would absolutely recommend this bag to someone looking for a baggage option that can handle boots and gear.
