Description

When basics matter most, few pack designs are as elegant and straightforward as the DaKine Wonder Pack, but straightforward doesn't imply barebones. This 1,000-cubic-inch daypack features skateboard carry straps and an internal compartment for your sunglasses. Two side mesh pockets expand slightly to securely wrap around most water bottles and canned energy drinks. Whether you're taking stuff to work, school or the local park down around the corner, DaKine's Wonder Pack is sized right for the job. It's no small wonder.

cute and small
October 10, 2011

This is so cute and well made. However it is very small. My daughter uses this for her middle school backpack. She wishes it was a tad bigger. She doesn't like to carry a big backpack but it is too small. It would fit one soft 3 ring binder and 2 books. If it was an inch wider all around then it would have been perfect. Otherwise the quality is good.

Pros: Great design, Build quality

The size of this bag is perfect for a short hike or a bike ride. I use it a lot when I go to the gym, a perfect size to carry a snack, water, wallet, keys and my cell phone. It's awesome!

Pros: Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Perfect

I ordered this for my mate who is so into kit items and he mentioned he needed a daypack for the daytime trips. I am totally pleased with the daypack and hope he is too when I give it to him for Christmas.

Great pack small size
August 23, 2011

This is a great pack. Beautiful color and durable. It is, however pretty small in size. I bought the pack for my daughter's school pack and it was too small to fit her binder and lunch. So we are using it as a day pack for skiing. We loved the look and design so we purchased another Dakine pack with the same color scheme. She absoultely loves the new pack and it fits everything she needs for school

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value, Cons: size

Perfect Size and proportion
October 03, 2009

I had been searching for a smaller backpack that had a good fit. Found it! Still roomy enough without being bulky

This backpack is great!

It holds all of my school stuff comfortably and it has a cute design! I am so happy I got this as my backpack!

very functional day pack
January 14, 2008

I use this pack to keep my skateboard stuff organized and transport my board to parks and street spots. I also use it as carry case when I have to take documents to meetings. It's much better than a briefcase when traveling on a subway or in a cab.

Love This Bag!
February 16, 2011

It fits perfectly, holds everything you could imagine, fits nicely and is easy to get off and on. I bought three different day packs for a trip to Europe and this is the one I'm keeping. The shoulder straps don't pinch your arms and the waist belt makes the bag feel secure. It sits nicely in the small of your back. It looks nice and has great features. I highly recommend this bag!

This is my first time having Dakine. I'm not sure is all the Dakine bags of inside not having any poket can use for phone or small stuff. The size is good for doing city travel or carry out with kids snacks.

Great

I loved it.I used it for middle school and it carried my heavy books without a tear

Great Pack, Great Value
September 06, 2006

I purchased two of these prior to a trip to Japan with my wife. They were perfect for every use we put them to on the trip. Perfect size for underseat carry-on on the plane, spacious enough for holding shopping finds, but small enough to negotiate crowded Tokyo subways without knocking anybody down. Tough enough to make a ten hour climb up Mt. Fuji, and comfortable all the way. These packs traveled 25 thousand miles in ten days and still look like new. We've both had numerous compliments on the style and color combinations, and our Naval Officer son liked mine so much I bought him one, too. One caveat: This isn't a large pack - you have to travel light, but within its limitations is a great piece of equipment. Highly Recommended!

Great little backpack
February 24, 2012

I bought this backpack to carry a change of clothes to and from work on my motorcycle. The size is about what I expected according to the dimensions but is a little small, as I need to carry athletic shoes in my pack (so I will probably end up buying the Transit bag which is the next size up in a similar style). The fleece lined pocket at the top is very handy and the zippers are easy to grab and pull with gloves on. Also the zippers and pull tabs are bright citron green so they are easy to find. The bag has a fairly slim profile so it's not too bulky on the bike. I bought the black houndstooth/green color and the price was great from Altrec.

Great Pack
March 01, 2012

Love this pack. Used it for a weekend getaway and will be using much more in the future! Perfect size for a woman... not huge and bulky and not too small. Holds my tablet, camera, wallet, snacks and water bottles and still has room to spare.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Finally, An affordable bag to hold my skateboard....
September 08, 2008

and it's a good size too. I have the paris black one, even though i am not your pink girl. Little pink poodles are better than huge pink flowers, the other option i had at my local skateshop. And it's good for picking up groceries by bike, travelling by train, going to the gym and taking stuff to work too (I work in hospitals).

This backpack is perfect
June 26, 2009

I was looking for a backpack designed for women and sized for day hikes. This backpack fills the bill perfectly. Rugged construction / durable and so nice looking (I got it in Black Chop Shop). Just the right size for day hikes. I am sure I will be using it for years to come.

Perfect, just the size pack that I was looking for
December 29, 2007

I got one for Christmas from my girlfriend, and I have to say it's not only a nice looking pack, but it's also very functional. I'm very impressed with the build quality. One thing I always do with new kit is checkout the stitching, and this looks like it's been put together to last, which is good for me because I need a pack that can withstand more than the odd knock and scrape, my packs have to cope with mountain and forest hikes, so they need to be strong. The bag itself is nice and thick so I should be ok for jagged rocks, the padded back and shoulder straps feel cumfy. It's a great size for day hikes, which is what I was after. the top pocket that's meant for a key and sunglasses is big enough for a mobile phone, GPS and a headtorch. The main compartment holds my big fleece jacket, gloves, hat, food box, waterproofs, first aid kit, small radio and a chunk of foam mat to sit on. The two side pouches fit snug around my hexi water bottles. So that's a pack ready for a day hike. All I need now is to plan a couple of hikes and give it a proper field test.

great light-duty backpack
February 02, 2011

Bought this for day trips into the woods, and to carry a few items while riding my bike in summer. Am using it now to strap my snowshoes to while I walk the 1/4 mile to the woods. The clip straps at top and bottom are working awesome for that. The pack is plenty big enough to store my layers in (face mask, glove liners, etc). Definitely light-duty, but just what I wanted. Great looking, great for the price, got to me fast!

Great BAG!
April 06, 2012

This bag is shaped to form to my body and I love it! The quality is amazing and I am actually ordering my 3rd Dakine bag from Altrec now. Wonderful website and great products! It is a bit smalled than the Hana bag but still good amount of room. THank you!!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

It was perfect!
September 04, 2007

It worked out perfectly for our trip to Orlando, with all the amusement parks and water parks. It carried everything we needed. I even got a second to take with me on my bike. Definitely recommend!

Perfect small day hiker or diaper bag!
May 21, 2010

I've used this as a small pack for day hikes and playing in the woods, but it's used mainly as our diaper bag! Fits everything you need for a newborn, plus holds my giant 32 oz. water bottle in the side perfectly!

Perfect for Girl Skateboarder.
July 15, 2008

It is very difficult to find ANY girl skateboard backpacks. This one (black stripe/blue floral) has just the right amount of femine decour a young girl needs. My daughter is 6 yrs. old so this packpack fits her perfectly with room to grow. Holds all her pads and helmet in the large compartment. The smaller glasses pocket has room for other things too such as sunscreen, skate pass, lip balm, etc. She plans to use the same packpack for the school year too. We bought the light blue camelbak 750ml water bottle which fits perfectly in the side and matches.

Great Backpack
October 11, 2010

The space inside is a bit awkward, but everything I need for daily classes fits nicely. I downsized my binder to help fit more efficiently and that helped straight away. I have small books this quarter otherwise this would be an off day backpack. I love it's versatility and style. Be sure to have a pencil case if you purchase this bag, I was used to backpacks with the front pouch for this purpose, not so here. The weight distribution is amazing... especially for a bag so light itself.
