You have full access to your gear through the 2-way zipper on the front and lots of extra stashing-and-lashing options with a top lid, a front stretch pocket, side mesh pocket, zippered side pocket and trekking pole and ice axe loops too. The hydration sleeve accommodates a 3 liter reservoir (sold separately) and a hidden rain cover deploys from the bottom pocket if an unexpected squall rolls in.
