Perfect urban day pack.

I wanted a pack that was just big enough to carry my 15" laptop in it's padded case, yet still provided it's own padding as well. I also only needed to carry a few other folders. What I didn't want was a really big bag that would collapse down to the size I wanted and I didn't want one that had a lot of straps and other junk hanging off of it that could get caught up. What I got was exactly what I wanted. As a user of other Deuter packs for hiking, I was already aware of their high quality and well thought-out designs, and this pack was no exception. If you're a connoisseur of great packs like I am, you won't be disappointed.

Great replacement for messenger bag

Bought this as a replacement for a messenger bag that I'd been lugging to/from work each day. I typically carry a laptop and a bunch of other miscellaneous electronic gear. The weight was beginning to cause shoulder pain on my walk. This bag solves that problem without the bulk of a normal backpack. Construction/quality is terrific - as I'd expect from deuter - and there are plenty (almost too many) pockets for organization. Only gripe is lack of a water bottle/coffee mug holder.

Almost-perfect Urban Day pack

A very well-made, compact pack, this rides comfortably on my (fairly narrow) shoulders. It will carry my laptop as well as a small purse, small camera, three or four paperbacks, a couple of files of student papers, and miscellany. The look is streamlined enough for city use and doesn't look as though you're about to climb a rock wall. What's missing: an exterior sleeve for a water bottle or umbrella. The "Stone/Canvas" color is attractive but the description is not terribly informative: it is a very dark brown, a lighter brown, and a front panel of cream. Shipping, communication, and service were excellent.
