Keeps feet warm, sizing off

I love boot gloves, however, I went by the sizing chart given, i bought a MED, and they were too small. I gave them to my son, who is ten, and they were kinda small for his boot too. I put them on him anyways, and the straps were rippped by the end of the day. :( I have proper fitting ones, and they work great, so just make sure you keep the size issue in mind.
