Description

The best in fit, form and function are yours with the Eider Furano Jacket for men. This ski jacket features 100% GORE-TEX® stretch with Primaloft® Eco insulation. From powder day to spring groomers, the Furano is the only ski jacket you need. You get the best in waterproof and breathable technology from Gore-Tex® and lightweight, low-bulk warmth from Primaloft®. Eider adds the little details that set this jacket apart from the competition including Lycra cuffs with thumb loops and pit-zip ventilation. The cuffs make a big difference on cold days and the pit zips extend the Furano's functionality when it comes time to test your mettle on the boot pack or it's time to kickback in the afternoon sun. The technical hood is removable, so you can define the jacket's style, and you'll find functional pockets for goggles, ski pass and electronics.

Over priced and runs extremely small
January 30, 2013

This jacket has some issues with it. First of all it appears the accent colors are yellow and white on all websites. But, when you get the jacket it is BRIGHT orange and white accent colors. So, you have to like orange to buy this jacket. But, the really deal breaker is that the jacket runs very small - I assume you would call it a European XL. I am 6' 2" and 215lbs. and XL is way to small for me. As far as features of the jacket at this price there is no cell phone pocket that I could find. To me in today's world that should be standard on any jacket. Has the basic standard pockets really no frills. This jacket is over priced for what it is - Eider has more work to do if they want a first rate gortex jacket. I am returning this, Altrec does not have a XXL in this jacket in stock.

All the features a ski jacket should have and more
March 18, 2013

I struggled to find a jacket with 2 chest pockets, a zip off hood, pit zips, low bulk insulation and stretch goretex with stretch insulation and couldn't believe my luck. This jacket is expensive and worth it. Shoulders are a tad snug, but the stretch ensures comfort and mobility. The bright orange is perfect for an upcoming Heliski trip where low visibility, tree wells and avalanches are always a concern. What a perfect find!

What can't this jacket do...Seriously?
November 30, 2012

The versatility of this jacket blows me away! If it's cold and blowing outside I cinch up the hood, and slip my thumb into the sleeve loops giving me a bombproof barrier to the elements. On more mild days or warm spring days I can vent it well with the big pit-zips and even leave the hood in my car if I really want to shed the weight. I don't even think twice about leaving it on for short skins or on the boot pack either because the Gore-Tex breathes so well especially combined with the pit-zips, and the primaloft keeps me insulated no mater what! It does everything I need and then some. If you are someone looking for a jacket that can take you from those serious days when the wind is howling to warm spring days whether skiing, hiking, or just around town this is an awesome jacket and the fit is great. After owning this jacket I'm excited to try other Eider gear!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
