Wider than the conventional Exped 7.5 AirMat, this AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe Air Mattress features an integrated foot pump that's easy to inflate on backpacking trips or out in the (heated) family cabin ski bunkroom. While you might consider an ordinary air mattress foot pump hard and unyielding, Exped built this patented pump with a foam lining so it doubles as a low-profile pillow. Like the standard 7.5 AirMat, the Exped AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe has a thickness of over three inches, so it adds plenty of cushion and moderate insulation. The big advantage that the AirMat 7.5 Pump Deluxe Mat has over Exped's self-inflating ComfortFoam Mats is the substantial weight savings--even including pump weight. Keep in mind that Exped recommends using AirMats in warm weather conditions like summer backpacking. If you're camping on an ice field or climbing in the early spring or late fall, you'll feel warmer on the insulated mattress found in Exped's DownMat collection.
Comfortable sleeping at last
This mattress fits in a relatively small stuff sack and is easy to pump up with the built-in "pillow" pumps, with two solid-feeling valves at the bottom corners for deflation. Once I got those valves closed, it was easy to inflate with the built-in pumps. It was comfortable the first night but felt a bit firm, so I let some air out on my way to sleeping nirvana the next two, with no additional pumping required. Well worth the price for restful sleep; easy to pack and carry; smaller when packed and more comfortable when inflated than the backpacking sleeping pads I've tried.
ExPed Airmat 7.5
I bought the one in which the pillows are supposed to pump the mat up. It is not very efficient so I just blow it up by mouth. It only takes a couple of minutes per chamber (2). Nonetheless, I am very happy with the sleeping mat. I just returned from 7 days kayak camping island to Island in Everglades National Park/10,000 Islands. It performed flawlessly and was the most comfortable sleeping I have ever had in a tent. As my buddy put it, "Wow, you have the Mac Daddy of air mattresses". I would certainly consider other ExPed equipment.

Used the pad on a weekend camping trip. I fell right to sleep. Best weekend of camping I have had in a long time.

Wonderful
I've been using a Ther???est since the mid 80's. The older I got the less comfortable it became and I almost stopped backpacking. The airmat has changed all that. This thing is great. No problems.
Perfect
I just came back from a 80 mile backpacking trip in NM. I have never slept so good at night. It worked so well that it took several nights to get used to my bed at home.
Worked Great
You have two options to inflate it...and it gave me 5 nights of good sleep...looking at getting another one...
Lightweight luxury
Bought it originally for my wife but thought I'd give it a try during a winter snow trip. Inflated surprisingly fast with just 4 or 5 puffs of air per side. Took a little longer for the pillow pump to expand because it was just out of the box, but worked better later. It fit in my OR Alpine Bivy and I was very pleased with the comfort. I'm a side sleeper and usually wake up with an ache or a little numbness in my shoulders, but I didn't experience that with this pad. Guess I'll have to buy my wife another one...
Wide for fetal position
I am a big dude (6'2) that gets really scared in the woods. This often causes me to hide in the tent curled up in fetal position. I stay this way all night. As a side sleeper 20 inch pads do not allow for for my butt and my knees to stay on the pad when curled up. However this 26 inch wide pad allows me to get in that emotionally safe side sleeping position with no problems. I love it. Only reason it is not a 5 is because I cannot get the pillows to inflate fully like in the picture above. They work awesome as a pump though, very innovative idea.
Very Comfortable
Bought 2 of these sleeping pads a month ago and used them for the first time on a BSA campout. Very comfortable and compact. Air pump in the pillow worked well too.
not good.
I am a professional guide year round and when I got my airmat I loved it for about a week. After that it would leak air and I would be sleeping on the ground. I always took special care of it so it would not get any punctures or holes but it would loose air more and more each night. I sent it back to the store and the next one they sent did the same thing in about 2 weeks. I do not recommend this airmat to anyone unless they like inflating it 3 or 4 times a night.
Offered in colors: Sky Blue/ Charcoal.
