Relax in the shade or take shelter from wet weather: this versatile addition can be attached to most Exped tents. The height of the arc is variable, allowing a standing height shelter or a low, wind-resistant vestibule. The Arc Tarp uses a cord harness to attach to Exped ridge tunnel tents for a weatherproof connection. Waterproof polyurethane-coated polyester fabric with taped seams keeps the space under the arc dry. Two 9mm, DAC aluminum poles give the arc shape, in consistently windy weather a third pole can be added to improve stability. Reinforced guy loops allow the Arc Tarp to be staked out, or used without poles as an ultralight shelter
Well made and engineered product
I purchased the tarp to carry along in sea kayak and mtb bike trips. I wanted a self standing tarp and decided on the Arc based on weight and assembled size, including it's configuration flexibility. I have not been disapointed. Once you get the hang of the rear (short end) cord and carabiner set up it goes up fast covering all my equipment. I plan to also use it as an extended tarp to my VW camper.
Dosen't suck too bad at all.
I own several tents but prefer my North Face Tadpole for myself and one other in a group or my dog. Naturaly my dog hates the interior of the tent in any fashion. I noticed one of the other tents down the way had this Arc attached to his tent where I found my dog chillen out like he owned the place. The guy was cooking his food inside, had all of his gear layed out despite the light rain we were experiencing. After doing my best to get my dog back to my own tent, I gave up and offered to sucker him out of his tarp. He gave me the web site and said good luck. I didn't know what he ment by that untill I found out of stock written next to its picture here. Hurry up guys, please get that back in stock, we love it.
