Exped Chair Kit
My wife and I recently changed from Thermarest to Exped to be more comfortable on a thicker pad. The one thing I missed was being able to use my Thermarest as a chair so when we got back from our first trip I purchased two of the Exped Chair Kits. They are solidly constructed and turn your Exped in to an camping easy chair. Super comfortable and offers another layer of protection against punctures.

Luxury at the end of the day
Fabulous addition to our backpacking kit. Love the comfort, protection underneath to plonk the thing on dirt, the nice top fabric for sleeping on, and the clips you use to turn the chair from lounger into chair, can be used to click two mats with their chair kits together when it comes time to sleep. Only down that I had hoped for it that leaving the mat inside the kit and deflating/rolling, you just can't get it small enough to beat how small the mattress and chair kit pack separately. Highly recommend, don't let anyone around camp try your out for too long, otherwise you don't get to enjoy your own gear much!

Great product; highly recommend
The product not only protects an expensive Exped pad (which I love) but adds luxury to evenings and rest days. The chair set up is really comfortable. There is a small weight cost but not excessive especially considering that if you are a minimalist you wouldn't buy the pad anyway

One and Done
I was very excited about this chair kit upon arrival and initially seemed to be a quality product. Extremely comfortable but only lasted one night. The straps continually slipped free with minor pressure. Next, the lower portion that flips over and snaps in place had two different failures. The strap ripped off on one side and the material that connects the seam ripped on the other side. Just to clarify, I'm 6'3" and weigh 200 lbs. Bottom line, it's comfortable but will not hold up.

Too bulky and heavy for backpacking. A basecamp chair only.
Purchased the large chairkit for Synmat 7 DLX. The stays are difficult to remove and the buckles and straps made it too heavy to use simply as a mat cover. The chair position was too tall to use comfortably inside my Approach tent. At 5'4" my head pushed against the tent ceiling. Would be more suitable for use in a larger tent. It is well made, but for too heavy for multi-day backpacking in the Rockies. I traded the chair kit for the basic mat cover.
