Best of both worlds for a sleeping mat
September 06, 2012
First off I would like to give cudo's to Altrec for a great online purchase. I've been in the market for a new sleeping pad for backpacking and wanted a decent R rating and something big enough to sleep comfortably, I'm 6'2" 190# and its plenty big enough. Well, this certainly does both and is fairly light and is easily put back in the stuff sack, especially considering its a large-wide and insulated with down. In addition, the bag (schnozzel) used to inflate the pad is awesome, easy to use, and it doubles as a waterproof shrink bag that I use to waterproof my sleeping bag, since I run a hydration bladder in my pack. My only concern is the durability, but it seems well built and time will tell. The cost is up there, but hey, I'm willing to pay for quality and comfort.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, schnozzel inflation bagExped DownMat UL 7 Sleeping Pad Photo
