Exped Mat Cover

Awesome pad cover

I own an exped synmat UL and previously purchased their incredible chair kit. The problem was that I felt it was a bit heavy but I loved the material. Exped's mat cover is the same build quality and material as the chair kit but only weighs about 6 ounces. The material is light, durable and feels great. It's like having a comfortable sheet on top of the pad. I sleep directly on the pad cover and use my sleeping bag as a blanket and I'm comfortable all night long. This cover should fit any standard sized pad up to 3 inches thick. My pad and cover are still much lighter than my old self inflating pad and I'm much more comfortable. I can't say enough about Exped products. They are awesome!

I bought this because I did not knew about the exped coupler kit. So I bought this because it was a way to twin together my exped downmat. I have no regret as it provide both the coupling and extra protection to my downmat and more specifically in Falls. When sleeping out of the tent you would like to protect your investment from tiny sharp rocks. I use them also for winter camping but for short trip such as a week-end. During winter any additional weight is problematic so make use your don't bring what's not necessary. At last, when the temperature is not that cold, it makes your mat more comfortable and you can use your sleeping bag as a sheet. I'm pretty sur I could use it in summer time as an extra sheet as well.

I got this cover because I was worried about my exped mat. There is a lot of sharp rocks where I camp. It is light and very protective. I would buy it again because it provides protection as well as a piece of mind.
