Great Mat So Far
July 23, 2011
I have found that as the span of my life increases, so does the hardness of the surface on which I intend to sleep. Having observed this phenomenon and not being all that pleased in the matter, I thought it time to seek out something to soften that space between myself and Mother Earth better than that of the Trail-Lite pad used in tandem with a foam pad (backpacking & canoe camping), and that requiring much less exertion than pumping up a full size air mattress (car camping). In the Mega Mat both my wife and I have found comfort that rivals that of a Sleep Number bed, fully adjustable to conditions and body contours. While this mat will not replace every other, (two of them won't fit in our Hubba Hubba) they will go on every other kind of excursion we have planned and will also suffice for spare bedding when all the relatives swoop in! (I've debated this with my wife-I'm not so sure that I want to make them that comfortable!) I would have given higher ratiings but we have not yet had them for very long, but am confident they will pass the test of time. Visual examination shows attention to detail and quality features like the large, dual, one-way valves, and the comfortable fabric should prove to impress you as well.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, comfort, great for couples, did i mention comfort?, Cons: CostComfort

I bought this mattress because I was tired of sleeping poorly while camping. This is like having my own bed in my tent. Easily adjusts for firmness and with the vertical sides it can be pushed next to another mattress for a wide bed with separate firmness levels. It also easily inflates itself and comes with a pump.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of useDid you recently buy the Exped MegaMat 10 Sleeping Pad? Write a review.
