Makes every outdoor night a comfortable experience
April 20, 2010
I already own the SynMat 7 and have been fully satisfied with it. It is small, light weight and above all extremely comfortable compared to any traditional sleeping pad. Have just bought the 9 and are already looking forward to the first night in the tent.

the most comfortable nights sleep ever! i finally decided NO MORE pads, NO MORE restless nights, & NO MORE sore back and hips. Its COMPACT!, warm, wide and durable. the pump is a little funky, but works great! Used it for a month at a construction site were a Dobie with sharp claws pranced all over it!!! not a scratch!!! its expensive! But, i'm getting one for daughter next...worth the comfort and compactness
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, compact, Cons: CostWrite a review for the Exped SynMat 9 Pump Sleeping Pad here.
Innovative and comfortable

PROS: * I love the built in pump. While the "9" takes a couple minutes to inflate, it is much better than getting light-headed in the mountains from blowing it up. * 4" thickness is great. Will definitely work great on bumpy group. * Small pack size allows for both backpacking and car-camping. A great compromise. Why not "Excellent"? * Can sometimes seem like a glorified water raft. I like the idea of the "10's" horizontal tubes, versus the "9's" vertical tubes. Might provide more even support. But the 10 is much bigger when packed.
