- Oil Finish Shelter Cloth, 8.5 oz. 100% cotton, 2 ply by 2 ply, paraffin treated for maximum water repellency
- Fedora style crown
- Lined with black cotton to help the crown keep its shape
- Leather hatband (glued to crown and reinforced with stitch on both sides)
- 3" brim
- Wire rim so that you can mold the brim to suit your individual style
- Chinstrap
- Cotton sweatband
- Decorative bow tie covers the rear seam of sweatband
- 8 grommets for ventilation (4 on each side)

Filson means top quality

My shelter cloth bush hat replaces my tin cloth packer hat that has lasted for 26 years. The new bush hat is the same top quality from Filson: excellent materials and construction. The broad brim kept me dry during a recent rain storm that turned to snow. I expect this hat to last for decades, just like my other Filson gear (tin jacket, chaps). For hat sizing, I ordered a large because my tin cloth packer hat shrank after years of getting wet and then drying out. Altrec was easy to order from, and delivery occurred as promised. You have a new loyal customer.

Excellent hat for the money. Should look great for years to come. Packs easily and looks great right out of the suitcase. Only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is there was some slight fraying close to the leather band.

I've been wearing my new Filson bush hat frequently since I purchased it. It fits true to size, looks and feels good, and with its wide brim it provides excellent protection against the sun and wet weather. With the strap under my chin, it's secured during windy days when I'm at the beach fishing. However, on speedy boat trips, I generally remove it and secure it under the bow. I have a small size head, about 21.5 inches, and I'm about 5'11'' and weigh 165 lbs. So the hat fits well which I like but can't afford to have much if any shrinkage. I like the green color and material of the shelter cloth very much since its durable and the contrast looks very good with my tan Filson tin cloth coat. It also goes well as well with my other foul weather gear.

this one is very gorgeous, stylish and high quality hat. this cap visor is so wide that protect uv sunshine. so i used many times that i go to walking, fishing and hiking. super fast shipping. this is the best value in this price. i satisfied 100%. my favorite item!!
