no brainer
The quality, durability, and lifetime warranty makes this purchase a no brainer. It has an understated style which makes it cool without looking like you're trying too hard. That being said, upon receiving the small duffle that I ordered I realized that it isn't big enough for what I need so I am returning it for the (quite a bit larger) medium size duffle.
Overall - extremely happy with this purchase.

Bag opening is small making putting stuff in and out more difficult. Also the large size zipper teeth scrape on my delicate hands while getting things out of the bag. Snaps seem cheap quality. Big enough for 3/4 day weekend jaunt. Looks nice and very tough. I think in time the new stiffness will wear out making the above complaints less important.

Excellent Bag
In general I am very impressed with Filson bags (and products in general). I have both the small and medum duffle bags in dark tan. I am convinced the Filson duffle bag will last my entire life and can be handed down to future generations. The small bag is plenty large for about 5 days (or more if you dont pack shoes in it). The small bag is perfect for a carryon bag for the plane or a weekend trip. I was actually shocked at the amount of stuff the small duffle holds. I bought the medium bag for a weekend bag and the small for quick overnight trips -- I planned to buy the large for 5+ day trips. For longer trips I just take both bags, which works well for plane trips and is no problem in the car (allows more flexibility when packing the car). I have plans to get the large briefcase (for work) and the fieldbag (for everyday use and as a manly diaper bag once I have a baby).
I would definately buy this again and am constantly spreading the word to friends and family about Filson's quality. These are not inexpensive, but the quality is amazing and they bags look great (and start to look better the more you use them).
I love Filson so much my next dog will be named Filson.

Clearly Quality Craftsmanship
Just became aware of Filson and wish I had found out about them sooner!
Small duffle has quality leather strap and handles and clearly exudes craftmanship. I use this bag as a daily commuter bag and also a gym bag, it definitely has character. Really happy with this product and will certainly see what other products this company offers. My only complaint is that the bag still looks new, can't wait until it gets a little more broken in... Hands down this bag can take a beating and still last decades.
