Nice and light and works very well
December 13, 2013

I have been using this knife for kayaking and keep it in my PFD inner pocket in case of tow line or other rope type entanglements. Luckily I haven't had to use it yet for these things but have used it quite a bit with other things. The blade is strong and so is the locking mechanism. The knife is also very light weight. If you paddle in salt water I recommend you soak it in warm fresh water in between paddles before you put it away as the only complaint I have and is that it will still get rust spots on it. Its not truly stainless in my opinion. the locking mechanism can get sticky if salt water is left in there. a drop of oil will bring it back though. All in all it is a very good knife for water applications.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: prone to some rust

very good all round rescue knife
April 21, 2005

Verry good all round rescue knife. Excellent one handed opening. With many folding knives it is "possible" to open the knife with one hand, but with this knife it is actually quite easy to open the knife with one hand, which can be critical in a kayak self rescue situation. Bright yellow handle makes it less likely to get misplaced. Stainless belt/pocket clip allow for convient access.

Strong and Light. Great locking mechanism. Easy to open and shut. I like the knife because it ins not overly fancy, but is very practical. I'll use it on whitewater rafting and fishing trips.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
