Description

Designed for intense sessions and sketchy lines that demand a lot from both the rider and their gear, the Giro Remedy S Helmet offers full face protection with excellent comfort and ventilation. This Giro helmet is made with a tough carbon/fiberglass composite shell laminated to the EPS interior foam liner. The resulting helmet is lightweight, strong, and meets head safety requirements for skiing and snowboarding. The visor and chin bar offer full coverage protection, while the goggle strap at the back helps keep your goggles attached in case of a rag-doll digger. You get plenty of fresh air through the 9 Super Cool Vents, all covered with mesh to help keep the snow out. An adjustable chin strap and plush padding all-around make for a custom fit and a jiggle-free ride as you bomb that first descent. From snowmobile-assisted laps on your big mountain skis in Alaska, to riding huge vert on the steep and deep lines in the Rockies, the Giro Remedy S Helmet is what the big boys wear on the big lines.

Great protection, some minor issues.
April 04, 2009

As others have said this helmet is large (externally), but I don't think ridiculously. The main complaints I have are in high winds (50+ mph) my ears get cold. The open ears with mesh over them provide little wind blockage. But the biggest complaint is my goggles fog up almost immediately when not moving, and they never used to do that. The chin guard seems to redirect your exhalation right into your goggles... super annoying. Maybe if you have brand new goggles this wouldn't be a problem. I bought Cat Crap and treated the lenses, and it worked ok for the rest of the day. Yet, I can see this being a continuing problem.

great helmet, excellent fit

This helmet rocks! excellent fit, comfortable chin strap, good ventilation, and great looks. Only down side, face guard causes exhaled air to flow back and fog goggles on cold days only while riding up on chairlift..not that much of a problem. Bottom line this is a great helmet

Great helmet, light, fresh, good color

I'm satisfied. I use this for "Down-Hill", and I think it's GREAT!

Remedy S Helmet...Foggle Gogging...
November 09, 2009

Almost everyone who's reviewed these types of full-face helmets have complained about, "goggle fog." I have one and experienced the same thing. The simple answer is that they were made or styled after BMX comps. That means grit, stones, and debris coming at your face (and mouth). The solution is simple: peel back the glue/backing holding the screen mesh in and remove it. You will have no more problems with "Foggle Gogging!"

Full face and neck protection
March 11, 2010

I suffer from a terrible neck. Having the face bar has really helped this season with protecting my neck and face. I do a lot of tree skiing in MT and just going through the trees with the full face bar really keeps the branches from slapping my face. The more protection in a helmet aids in less injury when you really go down hard. Highly recommend this brand and style...my friends were envious with the motocross look.

Excelent Helmet!
