Waterproof, breathable and weighting in at just over a pound, the GoLite Badlands Trinity 3-Layer Jacket for Men is a full featured rain jacket offering durable, lightweight protection against the elements. Full seam taped construction keeps water out while the Trinity waterproof breathable membrane, coupled with underarm pit zips, wicks away moisture and allows it to escape, keeping you dry and comfortable as you long the miles in less than ideal conditions.

Great waterproof all weather jacket
I purchased this jacket to use as an all around/all-year shell in Montana. Even though it is advertised as a lightweight jacket the shell material is very durable. It is highly waterproof and does well as an outerlayer in the backcountry during the winter. I am 6'1", 180 pounds, size 32 waist, and originally ordered the large. While it fit in the arm, chest and shoulder regions, there was a bit too much "pooch" in the stomache. I went with the medium which fits better. This is a great jacket that performs as well as much more expensive brands.

Excellent!
The Medium fits my 5'9" 150lb. frame well and feels comfortable as a shell or as a primary jacket. Waterproofing is fantastic and all openings synch up well to endure the worst that Portland or Mt. Hood have to offer. I was surprised that this jacket is made entirely from recycled materials - it's truly setting an industry standard.

Fitted Tops: GoLite Baselayers are 'Fitted' garments - Fitted tops will be snug to the body but are not 'skin tight'. Fitted tops are generally not intended to be worn over other garments.
Fitted Bottoms: Fitted bottoms will be snug to the body, but are not 'skin tight'. This fit is generally used in baselayer bottoms and is intended to be worn under Semi-Fitted or Relaxed bottoms.
Semi-Fitted Tops: Semi-Fitted tops will contour to the body without being tight. Semi-Fitted tops will fit comfortably over Fitted tops such as baselayers.
Semi-Fitted Bottoms: Used primarily on our high aerobic performance bottoms such as running pants, Semi-Fitted bottoms will contour to the body without being tight. Semi-Fitted bottoms will fit comfortably over Fitted bottoms.
Relaxed Tops: Relaxed tops will drape over the body, but are not baggy. Relaxed tops fit comfortably over Fitted and Semi-Fitted tops.
Regular Bottoms: Regular bottoms offer a little extra room in the seat and upper leg for ease of movement. Regular fit is generally use in our hiking and travel bottoms.
Semi-Fitted Outerwear: Used primarily on our high aerobic performance outerwear pieces, Semi-Fitted outerwear contours to the body and will fit comfortably over both Fitted and Semi-Fitted tops.
Relaxed Outerwear Tops: Our most common fit for outerwear, a Relaxed outerwear garment drapes over the body, but is not baggy. Relaxed outerwear fits comfortably over Fitted, Semi-Fitted, and Relaxed tops.
Relaxed Outerwear Bottoms: Relaxed fit is our most generous fit for bottoms and is generally reserved for outerwear. Garments using Relaxed fit offer ample wearing ease from the seat to the ankle and are intended to fit over other pants.
