Description

Insulated with the latest technology in moisture management, the Gordini Men's GTX Storm Trooper Gloves are the ideal choice when hitting the slopes this season. Megaloft Insulation will help keep the fingers nice and warm while the Lavawool moisture management system combines the warmth and feel of wool with wicking superiority of fleece. Unlike wool, Lavawool won't retain moisture but instead removes it away from your skin and garments. Gore-Tex will keep the exterior wintry elements from penetrating your gloves with its easily breathable and totally waterproof structure. This will leave your hands feeling dry and warm all day long. The shell of the GTX Storm Trooper has a plaid and breathe weave stretch woven fabric with goatskin trim. A pre-curved finger construction as well as genuine leather fingers with stick-grip palm and thumb and digital wrap caps will allow you to firmly take hold of skis, poles, or a snow shovel. Keeping the snow from entering and the heat from exiting is a Gauntlet Cinch Closure. A zippered heater pack pocket provides added warmth on the subzero days when you want to still hit the slopes.

Men's GTX Storm Trooper Gloves
February 01, 2012

I thought the Storm Trooper was a little tight compared with the Fuse or the less expensive Elevation. The Fuse would be my top choice in a non-goose down glove, or for those really on a budget, the Elevation. Dexterity is important in skiing and this glove was inferior to the other two in that department. For ultimate warmth, I would go with the Gordini Ultimate glove or the Leather Goose.

Pros: gordini reputation
Cons: dexterity

I usually wear a large, but these fit very snug. They were bulkier than the description had implied as well. They seemed to be very well made and seemed like they would last a while and be very warm. Unfortunately, I had to send back because of the size issue.

Warm gloves but a bit thick for fine movement
December 22, 2010

I got these gloves to use for shoveling the driveway and playing with my kids in the snow in the burbs. No ice axes or GPS involved. The gloves are comfortable, but the padding is thick and though flexible and with a natural curve, the thickness makes coordination difficult. This is somewhat balanced by the grippier fabric on the fingertips. When I received the gloves, there were a couple of loose threads, but one seems like it could be an important structural seam so I haven't cut it off yet. If the gloves fall apart like my North Face gloves did, then I'll update this review. Overall, good for the cold and play. Haven't put the GoreTex to the test yet.

Pros: Great design, Performance
