A new model for 2010, the Gregory Jade 40 Backpacking Backpack - Women's is the perfect blend when weight and durability are at a premium. A no frills option for weekend trips or light and fast multi-day backpacking trips, this ultra-light lightweight pack design carries up to 40 pounds with its efficient JetStream LTS (Load Transfer Suspension) suspension systems. Designed and tested by women, this pack incorporates a shoulder harness and waistbelt contoured to fit the female figure and hip angles, and a single lightweight, hollow stay and a molded, perforated V-beam framesheet combine for stability and to distribute weight evenly. The freely ventilated moisture wicking harnesses, waistbelt and backpanel enhance fit, aid in load transfer, provide cushioning and keep you cool on the trail. An adjustable sternum strap and load-lifter straps enhance the fit to ensure stability while on-the-go. Access to the single main compartment is gained through an extendible drawstring top entry or zippered front entry, while a large zippered front pocket and mesh side pockets provide further storage, and secure places to quick stash gear. Additional performance features include and extendible and/or removable lid, side – bottom - top compression straps, quick-access waistbelt pockets, weather-resistant zippers and trekking pole/tool attachment loops. An integrated sleeve and dual exit ports make it hydration compatible.
