Great Bibs
Bibs are a rare commodity these days. Especially one's that could actually be worn for anything but snowboarding. Carhartt and other American workwear manufacturers seem to ignore snowgear features and fabrics for their suits and bibs. I will wear these for work as well as shred. Why would America's premiere outdoor workwear manufacturer still use Cotton exclusively and flat cut fit. I need workwear that has articulated knees and elbows, all-weather fabric, snow cuffs, cordura butt and knees, etc.
Pros: Perfect true-to-traditional fit, Not the current gimmicky clown-sized trendy fit. Workwear styling and function. Could be worn for any outdoor work in brutal weather. Tough outer fabric. Mostly proper pocketing. Fleece butt makes these very warm, suited for coldest of storm days. Could Grenade make a one-piece, a job botched by most snowgear brands. Pleated knees allow maximum freedom. Logos are minimal but still more than necessary.
Cons: Main con is the silly "tobacco rolling station". It's an endless layering of pocketing, window, and velcro in the bib front that only adds weight and stiffens what was otherwise a perfect product. This kind of gimmickry and over engineering these snow garments adds cost and bulk. Keep it simple. Logos were minimal but still a minor con. A grenade screened onto the right rear cuff I could do without and the weighty leather belt loop label. These are bibs, you don't need a belt or loops. Save the weight and excess stitching.
