Great Ice axe with a nice device, Easyslider

I have been to Mt. Washington last weekend and I tested my recent purchase from Altrec, Girvel Air tech Evo with Easyslider. The steep section on Lion Head Trail at Mt. Washington is mostly 40% -60% degree and about 80% at steepest for 50 yard. I found that the rubber grip on the shaft is very comfy and easyslider very useful. I used to use BD Ravine Pro with a regular leash and alway suffered from cold hands. In steep sections I grab the shaft of the axe, hands get easily cold and tend to lose good grip after a whle. With a regular leash it is tedius every time you turn left or right. This Givel Air Tech Evo has rubber grip at the end of the shaft (no cold hand) and Easyslider for easy switching hand and extra relief against slip on hand.
