Heavy and sturdy

I have enjoyed lightness of petzl meteor III for general mountaineering and recently bought this Salamander primarily for my ice climbing. I do not have to wear it all day long, so I priotize safety (Sturdiness). Far heavier than meteor III but I feel more safe. For my big head and long face, strap could be longer.

Solid Helmet

This is a solid product. I have been climbing for more than a decade, have had the opportunity to own helmets from several manufacturers, and I have finally found a helmet than is not only comfortable but also well made. The helmet's adjustment system is easy and intuitive to use and the sizing information appears to be accurate as it fit per the company's specs. I would recommend this to a friend and would buy this product again.
