Providing exquisite style for your expedition, the GSI Outdoors 1 Cup Stainless Mini Expresso is durable, lightweight kitchenware. If you need kitchenware that can take a beating and keep on cooking, Glacier Stainless® is for you. Each piece is made of high-grade 18/8 stainless steel and built to last for years to come. Exceptionally easy to use, this mini stovetop espresso maker brews one double shot (2.5 fl. oz.) servings in 90 seconds.
Easy as pie! (And, like pie, it will take longer than 90s.)
First off, this is tiny. The base's diameter will fit in a cupped palm and the height of the whole thing (put together) is ~6"/15.24cm. To fully disclose, I've been using this at home on a gas stove, but I doubt a difference in use on any gas camping stove. I'll paraphrase the hints I found in a MEC review: fill water to just above the pressure valve, put finely ground coffee in the provided metal filter and level off (don't pack down-I burned a batch the latter way), and cook over the lowest flame. It usually takes mine a couple of minutes. You'll need a small cup to catch the espresso (the clearance is 2 3/8"/6.03cm). And, in another steal from MEC, the 1-shot weight is 7.69oz/218g.
