Not the best LIGHT hammock
August 22, 2012

I think it's a fine hammock, and certainly a good value. It's a great size for a single person. I do think however it's a bit misleading marketing it as a light travel hammock as it comes with no carabiner or s hook, so right there the weight is going to increase significantly. The looping rope provided (I suppose in lieu of carabiner or s hooks) is bulky and cheap. Rope to rope isn't the best hanging system, so you're kind of left to just figure it out on your own with this hammock. That aside, if this is used for day trips, beach, around the house, etc. I think it would be just fine, but because I intend to use this for backpacking I will just be spending more money to get the Grand Trunk Nano 7, about 5 oz. lighter and that includes the climbing grade carabiners.

Pros: cheap, good weight bearing, Cons: requires additional hardware, barely fits in bag
