I purchased an ArcTeryx Micon jacket and this one at the same time, and the Helly Hansen Enigma is far and away superior for skiing. The HH jacket goes for about 100 less. Other than weight, the Helly Jacket is superior in almost every way. What the Micon doesn't have, yet is touted as a skiing jacket, the HH Enigma does have: the dual ventilation, balaclava, interior pockets/features, removable hood, outside pockets, collar adjustments, wrist gaiters, etc. The dual chest and back arm ventilation is an evolution above the 'pit zips' approach. Helly really has put a great deal of design into this jacket with great execution. The jacket is not baggy or relaxed. It is a skier's jacket and is labelled as "slim." I typically wear a Medium/Small at 5'10 160 and the medium was right on the money. The only thing that I didn't like was the weight, as it was a bit heavy compared to the Micon. Yet the Enigma has a full complement of interior and exterior pockets plus you get a perfect balance with down/synthetic insulation and sufficient ventilation on the warm days. Craftsmanship is wonderful. You can tell that you getting the top of the HH line. Honestly, nothing is missing in this jacket. My only concern was the stiffness of the collar for casual wear; yet it is made to stand up and provide great face protection when skiing. You do get what you pay for in this jacket. Check out the list of features. A skier's dream.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value
