I really like them. They're nice and warm. When I first put them on, my dad said they looked a little small, (I got a medium, 6'1", 170 lbs) but I think that's just the fit. So, if you're looking for a slimmer ski pant, get these.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueGood Pants for the $

Purchased the Wasabi Yellow in Large. I'm a 34" waist, 5"11" 185 lbs. These fit well in the waist but were tighter than most ski pants today in the hips and crotch. That's just the design. Not uncomfortable or limiting, but just not that baggy look that's in today. Really liked the color. I was looking for something other than black, but not neon green or orange. Pants are very waterproof. Melted snow beaded on the outside of the pants with zero penetration. Breathable as well. My baselayer was 100% dry after 4 hours of skiing.
Pros: PerformanceWowza

If you have questions about size (and everyone always does) I"m 5'10" 155 and the medium fits perfectly both in the waist and for length. These pants are so light, and the material so thin, I first wondered how they could possibly provide any warmth. Can you say Warmcore by PrimaLoft? I don't know who the engineer was that came up with the stuff, but give him or her a Nobel prize. I stayed warm and dry in temperatures as low as 15 degrees. Articulated knees are a plus when you're hitting it hard. Fit is regular, not baggy, which I like because I'm not 17 with twin tips and a flannel shirt for a jacket. Color is actually really nice, and not nearly as obnoxious as I feared. The gray sealed zippers for pockets and thigh vents are sharp-looking accents. These are Helly Hansen, so the quality of design and materials speaks for itself. At this price...a no brainer.

I have worn them twice, now, in single digit, low teen weather in fairly heavy snow - skiing and snowshoeing. I was warm and comfortable the entire time. The crotch area was a little tight, but that may just be me. The pants look pretty cool, if that matters. The quality seems very good to exceptional for the price. Very good buy IMO.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueQuite surprised

Since the model in the video was 6'1'' tall, I had little hope a medium would fit since I am 5'9". They fit my skinny hips very well except for the crotch which is a bit tight. I am glad I did the chat because I was told "they run slim".

Size up! They felt like great ski pants, lightweight and still warm- but unfortunately they never got tested because they were way smaller than expected...definitely size up!!

Great ski pant
January 05, 2011
I received these as a Christmas present from myself :-) for a family ski vacation to New Mexico. Initially I was concerned that the pant wouldn’t be warm enough since it is basically a shell pant. Let me tell you warmth was not an issue! These pants worked great even in -10 F temps. I wore thermals and a thin sweat pant underneath, but probably could have been fine with just thermals. Double check the sizing before buying. I actually went to the Helly Hansen site and looked at their sizing chart for the pants and determined I needed the XL as opposed to the L (L was recommended using Altrec sizing chart). I’m 5’11” and wear 36” waist pants and the XL’s had plenty of room in the crotch and legs. The velcro waist adjustments are a nice touch! The pants are a tad too long without ski boots on, but that’s the trade-off when you select waist size over length. Overall I’m very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend these pants!
