Exactly What I Was Looking For
My husband and I are going on a 5 day guided kayaking trip in Alaska this summer. This will be a new experience for us, and we are shopping for the entire outfit based on our guide's recommendations. We were delighted to find this jacket and other items on sale at altrec.com, but I was concerned about whether it would fit properly, which is very important for a 5 day trip that might be rainly the whole time. Well, I cannot believe how perfect this jacket is for a kayak trip. I am 5'9" and 140 pounds and ordered the large. The sleeves are the correct length, and it is just loose enough to wear over a couple layers of clothing should it be on the cool side during our trip. I took it out in the rain, recently, and I found it did the job well. It is fairly lightweight for being waterproof, so I don't feel constricted and will be able to paddle for hours on end!

So Big!
I purchased this jacket with the intent on having a somewhat stylish and water proof rain jacket. Although it is waterproof, the jacket I ordered seemed more like a XXL than a medium, which it was labeled. The material seems to be durable and waterproof, but I did have to return it since it was swimming on me. I'm 5'2" and 125 lbs, so a medium should have fit.

Great Jacket
I love the material of this jacket. It has a very silky but durable well made feeling to it. Did some research on the company that makes it, Helly Hansen, based in Oslo, Norway makes sports gear and textiles for sports, work on the ocean, and the mountains. Quality is seriously good and a lot of their jackets sell for a steeper price. This is just a simple rain jacket, but it's a great deal, and a well made jacket. I got the buzzsaw red color, it's not a dark red but a bright red. Took me a little while to get used to the color, but now i love it!!

Great Rain Coat
I love the color of this coat. I think it ran a little on the small size. I didn't realize the material was going to be like a rain slicker and I can't wear anything like that because I start sweating right away so I had to return it.

Quality rain jacket
Great quality jacket. It is thin (only one layer, you'll need a fleece or down vest for warmth) but very waterproof. Fits well, has a removable hood that packs well, quality welt pockets, and snaps at the wrists.
The allure color isn't as blue as on the screen, it's more of a gray color.

Overall, happy with voss jacket
I got the Voss jacket in a medium. I am normally a medium in most tops. This coat runs big! It's good for layering under. Overall I am happy, I wore it in the rain for the first time and it did its job, it kept me dry!

I already had the pants and wanted the jacket. The samll runs a little big but it is perfect for layering.

Great Jacket!!
We re currently in the middle of a N'or Easter. This jacket is holding up great! Warm and water proof even in torrential rain and high winds. Thanks for a great product!

too glossy for my taste
This jacket had more of a glossy appearance than I wanted. I intended it as a light weight spring-summer rain jacket, but it looked too heavy in black. Other than that, it looks like a great jacket, maybe better in red.

not what I expected
I got this jacket in black and it was not what I expected. It has a high-gloss finish, giving it a faux-leather, biker chick look. Not what I was going for. I am going to return it.

Excellent Deal
For the price, this item is a steal. Soft and loose fitting allows for ample layering and great water barrier protection in heavy rains.

What a steal!
This jacket was a great price so I purchased it. What an awesome buy this is. It looks fabulous. Is great in the rain. I was caught in a downpour, and my clothes remained dry. I can't say enough good things about this jacket. You have to buy it!
