for the cold days
February 21, 2011
Haven't been out in the glove yet but its super warm and comfortable. The leather needs to be conditioned, they give you a small amount of the stuff. The cuffs are a nice touch and the removable liner is really in there, not likely to pull out.

Best Women's Ski mittens...my hands are never cold. I ski the coldest of Colorado ski days, and my fingers are never cold. I love ski mittens and think they offer the best warmth. If anything, sometimes my hands are too hot.
Great Gloves!

I've made the mistake several times of buying cheap gloves that look cool. Those gloves usually work great for 20+ degree weather, but my fingers always freeze in colder weather. You will be happy you spent the extra money on these gloves if warmth is what your looking for.

I wore these gloves on Whistler Blackcomb in BC over 3 days in January. The temps were between 25-35 with snow all day one of the days. These gloves were worm and comfortable. Some of your dexterity may be compromised. They are a little bulky in the fingertips (but not to the point of being uncomfortable or annoying). The inner liner doesn't allow your finger tips to touch the tips of the glove. There needs to be some space at the tips to generate heat but it makes strapping in (snowboarder# a little tuff but you can easily adjust. If you like your gloves tight or really snug order down a size. If you want to wear a glove liner underneath order exact size per your measurements. If you are a giant and have a giant hand order a size up #not recommended). The soft liner that comes with the glove is suffice but I still like to have the option. Worth the $$$$. If they are a little stiff at first before breaking the leather in, the leather conditioner you get with a pair of gloves will help soften them up. Those that know and appreciate a good quality glove will gravitate towards Hestra. Comparable to Burton's AK high end Gortex gloves, maybe a little warmer though. You will like being able to swap inner liners with your own or other Hestra liners.

Awesome Glove

On a cold powder day this is the glove to have! Gets a little warm on a forty to fifty degree day, but when the temps drop this is what I go for. I even bought a pair for my wife whose hands were always cold and now I can enjoy the day without her asking to go back into the lodge. She no longer has to use hand warmers. Great gloves that keep the snow out and the warmth in!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of useDecember 17, 2010
If you spend time skiing the steep and deep you will never regret your decision to buy these gloves! They run true to size, workmanship is excellent. Expensive but worth the price. I take care of my stuff so I should get a few years out of this pair.I am 6'6''220lbs with long fingers and a large fit just right. The inner glove is removable so they are easy to dry overnight soyou can wear them day after day. A+++ HESTRA.

Hand down, no pun intended. These have got to be the best gloves on the market. Super warm and comfortable. The leather stays surprisingly dry and has great movement. Best of all, the cuff is easy to pull over the jacket cuff.
