Warm, but wondering if worth the price.

My wife's hands are perpetually cold. These mittens worked well while dogsledding and tubing. (I note that I had ski gloves and my fingers got cold while dogsledding.) She wanted to go with down mittens but because of the reviews, we went with the high price item. We are pleased but wonder if we could find something comparable for $70-80.
Pros: warm - stylish.Great Mittens

I bought a pair of these for my wife whose fingers are always cold. She loved them, but they were stolen by my oldest daughter so I needed to buy another pair. Stylish for cool mom and 10 year old girl and super warm. Love all Hestra products. Worth the money.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceHappy customer!

I usually wear a size 7 and bought a 7--snug fit lengthwise, couldn't wear these with long fingernails--they did stretch a little after wearing. Couldn't go up a size because thumb would then have been far too long. The optional Hestra water proofing lotion will turn the white leather to dove grey--still attractive but just so you know....I wore these for 4 hours at a time skiing in 18-23 degree weather. Most of the time was fine but two days I added hand warmers. Definitely long enough to keep the snow out--can tighten at the wrist and the end of the gauntlets have a toggle to snug up even more. Great wrist loops to enable taking gloves off without loosing them. Inside liner mittens attached with velcro. So far no leakage, only the palms absorbed any water, and they dried over night when placed within proximity of a radiator--they might even dry without that.
