Just what I was looking for
November 03, 2010

I was looking for a lightweight water pack for hiking and skiing but I didn't have a lot of money to spend. I searched many sites and found that Altec offered great prices on high quality brands that I saw on other sites. The backpack carried a good amount of water, was easy to use and the backpack was not super heavy. The one drawback is that, for hiking, the pocket wasn't large enough to carry all the stuff I want to take hiking. It carries my keys and phone but not food. For skiing though it's perfect since I don't need to put anything in it.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Excellent hydration pack as advertised! Could not be happier about my purchase.

Super cute and easy to carry!

I love this backpack. It is perfect of hiking or biking. It is small enough and has a pocket to put keys and cell phone, which makes it very convenient. All in all- a great buy for the price!

Fabulous hydration pack
September 22, 2010

I bought this pack for my husband because it lays flat against his back, holds 2 liters of water and has a small zippered pouch for gels, ID, cellphone and keys. But the best feature is the insulated tube that keeps the water from freezing. He ran an ultra one winter and the tube froze making it unusable. This pack was well thought out by the designer for wintersports.

Great for hiking
December 03, 2012

I purchased this for my wife and at first she said I don't need one. I bought it anyway and now short and long hikes she takes it. So very easy to fill and empty. When you are hiking you don't even notice it. When we were in the Grand Canyon it came in great use for her. While we were hiking I had to remind her and say how is the pack doing. For the price you can't beat this. Matt

Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value

Great Buy

The hydration backpack is comfortable to wear, lightweight and has a large water capacity. Very versatile for hiking, biking, etc. Insulated tube is a nice extra.

Great Quality at a low price. Product is well built and lightweight. I check many sites and Altrec is the best place . The only thing that would make it better is if the pack had a chest strap. It still works great. Looking forward to using it again on our trip out to Vail.

Pros: Great value, Cons: chest strap would make it a 5

Great hydration pack
January 18, 2012

I was looking for cheap hydration pack, and altrec has the best price. This pack is not just affordable it is also very durable and it fits a lot of water in. Great deal, and will buy again, when this one wears off.

Good Hydration Backpack

Good all around price and hydration pack, but would like to have a strap tying the shoulder straps together so they don't shift on your shoulders.

Good for what it is
December 11, 2011

you get what you pay for. Its a nice cheaper pack and works. There is a small pocket for a key or coins. I agree with the other reviewer that it would be alot better if there was a chest strap between the two shoulder straps.

Pros: Ease of use, Great value, Cons: Bad design

Great for walking and running
February 27, 2011

The Wave 70 Hydration Backpack will be able to provide you with a comfortable way of carrying 2 liters of fluid, and because it is very light weight and evenly distributed, I had no problems running for 6 miles with it on my back. The storage pocket is great for storing little items like smartphone, car keys or permits. I liked the fact that the pocket is outward facing so it doesn't get humidity from your own sweat. The drinking pipe is well built and when I hike with my kids I don't need to take it off in order for them to drink from it. There's also good ventilation between the bladder and your back so again - the carrying case doesn't get wet easily. Some other nice features: - Easy cleaning: big opening for rinsing with mild soap. - Front & back loops for placing flashlight/warning light. - Easy lock/release for the drinking tube. Overall: A great product.

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
