Ibex Euro Loden Cap

My head is around 23 inches in circumference (size 7.5 hat, usually Large or XL). The Ibex Euro Loden is perhaps my favorite out of dozens of beanies, buffs, etc. The fit is good for me. Snug but not too tight, deep enough to cover most of my ears in the cold or to leave them mostly exposed if warm or if I want to wear headphones. The brim is a good size, not too small like some products. I find a brim is very useful. I enjoy moments when I turn into harsh blinding sunlight and adjust the brim to restore sweet, life-sustaining vision -- important on a bicycle in LA traffic. Also good to keep rain off my glasses. The brim is soft and flexible, yet sturdy enough to be durable. I have other beanies (e.g. North Face Buster) with brims that are too stiff -- these others dig into my forehead and cause pain or leave red marks on my skin. Not so with the Ibex Euro Loden. The wool material is terrific. Toasty in the cold, but cool enough to wear on mild days (though I do tend to get cold easy), unlike fleece-lined beanies which are too hot to wear in anything but very cold weather. The wool also resists odors...washings are less frequently required. I like the looks of the Euro Loden -- clean overall aesthetic, interesting textured look/feel of fabric, and a great selection of colors. Recommended!

unique brim hat

The brim on the hat makes it perfect for sunny days in the snow! It is great quality made of thick wool and very warm. It is one size fits all and is a little big on my (woman's) head. On windy days I use a different hat because it tends to slip off my ears.

Good Wool Cap with a Brim

This is a very nice wool cap of typically superb Ibex quality. Although it looks like a baseball cap, it actually fits over your ears. The material is a relatively thick wool, but it does breathe very well. The brim does a nice job of keeping the sun out of your eyes, and can be flipped up when necessary. I will be purchasing one more of these in a different color.

Different style hat

Usual Ibex quality which makes people buy more of their products,very warm and close fitting,with a slightly unusual full head covering fit,that you can modify by turning up the sides for a more cap like fit.

This hat was not as big as I hoped--I was hoping it would be a bit over-sized. So if you want a fitted ball cap style w/ a short brim--this hat will be perfect. Quality and fabric.

This Ibex hat is good looking, warm and cozy! At first I bought it for myself but now share with my wife. This fits for both man and woman but its a little bit big on women's head.

If you haven't tried a piece of Ibex gear, you really really need to. About a year ago I bought a pair of their gloves which led me to buy multiple pairs and then onto their hats and now other items. All their winter hats are high quality and animal friendly wool. This hat though has an interesting fit; it is much much deeper than all of the hats I've tried by them. It is still of great quality however unless you have a deep noggin, it probably won't fit you all that well or leave room on the top of your hear effectively making it a winter ten gallon hat. I would still recommend trying it on, but just know what you are in for. Great quality, super warm, questionnable design.

Exactly What I Wanted!

I love this hat. It is a bit longer than other hats of similar style, enough so that it covers the tops of my ears. I have a big head and a lots of hair, so it's not so easy for me to find a hat that fits. This one does. The brim seems large enough so that it will actually be useful, not just decorative. And the quality is really nice -- soft and seems durable. No less than what I would expect from Ibex.
