Very fine and unique sweater

I must confess to being a great fan of Ibex products. The 'Mercedes' of wool clothing. This sweater in Large is perfect fit for my 5'10'' 160 lb frame. Its loose, comfortable (high priority quality for me) and warm. Easily allows under or over layering. Most outstanding is fine finish detail, great color, and you won't see thousands of others just like it. I don't 'need 'it, but bought the full zip version as well, just because it looks good. Can't comment on durability yet, but looks rugged and long lasting. If you think its expensive, its expense that is worth it for fine quality and design and pride of ownership. I wear it for skiing, sailing and casual wear in Northern California.

I recieved my new Ibex Scout 1/2 Zip just a few weeks ago and I've had a few good opportunities to wear it during some Louisiana winter weather. My primary reason for purchasing the Scout 1/2 Zip is for casual wear, combining it with a base layer. As described, the Scout consists of two layers of wool, the outer layer being a looser Boucle weave and the inner lining a very comfortable, tighter wool material. I love the look and feel of the Scout - the arm length is long enough and the relaxed cut makes layering easy and comfortable. The collar sits just right and there's zero "itchiness" around the neck. I opted for the Shetland Heather color and it looks fantastic. I've yet to be disappointed by any Ibex product and the Scout 1/2 Zip is no exception. You get what you pay for - excellence.
