the perfect layer

This vest works great as a mid layer with its former fitting shape that doesn't restrict movement and doesn't add any bulk under your shell. It also works and looks great with a nice shirt in the workplace.

I have used ibex products before and even though they are a bit expensive the quality and durability are worth it. I ordered the shak vest one size up(extra large) due to other reviewers who said the fit was a bit small. I am 6ft1 and 190 lbs and the extra large is a bit roomy. I would say the sizing is closer to true to fit I wear it as a layering vest or on it's ownnand have been as happy with this product as the rest of my IBEX purchases.l

Shak is very very good to me

I have Shak full zip and half zip so why not get the vest too?! The blue color is unique. Well made like all Ibex stuff. Can use for sport activities or over a tshirt, sweater, or shirt for extra warmth with little chance of getting too hot. Unique 'look' very cool. I am 5'10 ,160 lbs and Large fits slim. If you are much bigger, you might want x-large. Its soft to the touch and nice and light. Nice small pocket for small items.

Great Product; Runs Way Small

all ibex products are well built, comfortable and hold up well. this vest was nice and I think it would have been a winner except for the fact that it runs small. order at least one size larger than you would expect and you should be fine.

Ibex Shak Vest

I was looking for a great everyday vest. Ibex is a great company with premium wool products. I ordered the Shak, Scout and the Arlburg. The Shak was too tight, thin and stretchy for me and the Arlburg was too thick and stiff (although fit was better). The Scout however was perfect. It is now my favorite vest and I wear it around the house and away from home almost every day. The quality, durability and style of the Scout are top notch.
