Description

Such goals as climbing Denali or spend 50 days on your skis this year involve a lot of time spent in your thermal underwear. For such endeavors you might as well be as comfortable as possible, starting with the unbeatable next-to-skin comfort of the Ibex Men's Woolies Zip T-Neck. Consisting of soft, itch-free merino wool, this performance base layer also contributes a natural ability to fight odor, stretch without permanently losing shape, and move moisture and breathe in such a way that it not only insulates effectively, it also feels comfortable as you heat up. The Ibex Men's Woolies Zip T-Neck has a 9 inch zipper that's great for venting when you're ferrying loads on a glacier climb. Likewise, when zipped to the top of the t-neck, it offers a warm layer of protection later in the day as you huddle around your camping stove. The Ibex Woolies Zip T-Neck for men is also machine washable, demonstrating that, in addition to its itch-free feel, performance wool garments of today have moved way beyond the woolies of old.

Excellent

This is a great lightweight wool top. It looks great and is the warmest lightweight wool zip-up I have worn. So far it has breathed well even while trail hiking. This top works best as a base layer and it not sized to fit over another layer.

Woolies are the best
April 16, 2013

Ibex makes top quality merino wool clothing. Their woolies line has been my go to for a cold - mild weather base layer. The quality is top notch and these base layers have out lasted any of my icebreaker or smartwool base layers I have used in the past. I would never think of going snowboarding, running, hiking, camping or backpacking w/o an ibex woolies layer. If you treat the fabric right it will pay for itself twice over.. hand/machine wash with other wool clothing & woolite.. then hang/lay flat to dry. WOOLIES are the best!

Good shirt
February 23, 2012

I would definitely recommend this product. The shirt fits well and has a good look to it. I am 5'11" 155lbs. and have a medium. I have a similar shirt from another reputable brand, and this one seems to be a bit more durable - the other has a few holes forming. It wicks well and because it is wool, doesn't stink like cotton or poly. I can wear it for a week on the trail and only be moderately offensive to my companions. I definitely think wool is the way to go!

High quality but tight
November 07, 2010

As always, Ibex makes a great product, but the description doesn't really paint the next-to-skin fit of this top. If you aren't using this as a form-fitting undergarment, size up one, if not two sizes.

nice shirt
December 23, 2011

no complaints other than fit. Medium is right for me 90% of the time. 5'10", 165 lbs. This medium is too tight, especially neck. Try sizing up. This shirt is light weight, don't expect too much from it.

Pros: Performance, soft, Cons: Cost, fit's small
