Very nice and thin

These are not bulky. I am tall and love that they go down over the ankle and up to mid stomach. You can tuck your socks and shirts in.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

i just love this woolies. No scratchy feeling and it keeps me warm in my ski pants. Great for skiing....
light but warm

Relatively soft and very comfortable bottoms. The waist isn't binding in any way, and the woolies are definitely warm. However, I ended up purchasing a size smaller than the sizing chart indicated. Great service as always from Altrec.

I love Ibex garments and this is a terrific staple. Light enough to not overheat in, but still warm. I have a similar smartwool product that developed holes but not the Ibex version.Pros: Performance
Warm & Comfy!

These are so comfortable and warm. I wear them all the time and they are easy to take care of. Awesome product!Pros: Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
Nice med. weight baselayer

Bought this to wear under softshell pants to nordic ski this winter, but already put them to use (under nylon pants) running at 30 degrees and wind chill. Kept me warm, so I may be buying a back-up pair. I'm 5'5", 118 lbs and the small fit perfect--not to tight and length was about 30" inseam. The wool doesn't itch either! The waist is pretty high--went above my bellybutton, but you can fold it over without worrying about extra bulk.Pros: Build quality, Performance
Soft & Warm Wool
December 14, 2012
I love Ibex garments. These were the first Ibex long underwear that I have gotten. Just like other Ibex garments--soft, not scratchy, warm, and well made! These are lighter weight than the Ibex 220. I wear the Woolies when it's 20-30 degrees, and I wear the 220 when it's below 20.

I purchased these to wear as a base layer while snowmobiling. I was a lttle skeptical at first when I saw how thin they were. Boy was I wrong; they are just what I needed! They are so comfortable and cozy, I am ordering a second pair to wear as pj's.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value
just what i wanted

I am very happy with my ibex woolies. I am 5'5" 130 lbs and wear size 8-10. The medium fit me well (except for the waist being abit high). They are quite comfortable. I can wear them under almost anything. I am sure they will be a very regular companion this winter. I will definately recommend them to others. Thank you for the great price!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

I have tried and returned several different brands of wool long underwear and Ibex far and away surpasses them all. I am consistently pleased with their products and the woolies are no exception! I really like how the elastic band is covered. They are soft and light which makes them perfect as a base layer. I wish I could afford to buy 10 pairs cause I would!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
best long underwear ever!

This is my second pair of Ibex Woolies and they're still outstanding. I wear them walking the dog in freezing weather, shoveling snow (and more snow), hiking and cross country skiing. They keep me toasty warm, but not sweaty. A big plus: they're lightweight and don't smell after a workout! Just love them!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

I like the they it fits, its very soft, cozy and warm. It was my first purchase of the warm leggings and I would definetely recomend it. It fits a little large, so make sure you dont go up in the size.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Good for warm-blooded creatures, or warmer temps.

The quality of the product appears to be great. However, I had hoped I was purchasing long-undies that would be, truly, warm in the winter months. Unfortunately, I hadn't realized these are a weight of 150, which I have found to be inadequate. I can see through the material a bit... although the wool is soft and cozy, it is simply too thin a weave to really provide the warmth I need. I tend to be chilly, though, and enjoy bundling more than some folks I know. I also found they felt a bit smaller than I had thought. Certainly wearable, but tighter waist-band than I prefer...I like to have lots of room around my breathing apparatus. I could imagine these being great for warmer climes, or folks who want to layer another piece or two on top of this one to stay warm.

These are excellent for warmth and are thin enough to wear under work attire. They are soft and not itchy. I recommend this productd for anyone who wants additional warmth without bulk.Pros: Build quality

I love the fabric. It fits true to size. It has a high rise. I wear these as pajamas.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great value
Will wear these all winter
October 09, 2009
These bottoms are light and thin, will be good to wear under jeans in the cold New England winter, or as an inner layer skiing. I have had similar bottoms before, and I end up wearing them almost every day of winter. After reading other reviews, I bought a size medium, even though I am a tall size 12. They fit me fine.
light and warm

Fit well and are thin enough to wear under a pair of waterproof pants or jeans for extra warmth.

I like the fit of this Smartwool bottom better than the Icebreaker 150 and 200 wt. women's bottoms, but the feel and durability isn't nearly as good as icebreaker's stuff overall. Also, the fabric is very very thin and see through, and it seems SW only offers one weight, whereas IB offers several weight options. I'm keeping them for the fit since I need several, and we'll see how things fare as time goes by...
