merino tights

wow, the icebreaker clothing is great, I have three tops, the long sleeve 260 weight, and now the 200 weight bottoms. warm all winter, no odor, easy hand wash and air dry. A dream for a guy who wants the best, and dosen't want to mess too much. Say, I need far fewer underwear garments wit this merino stuff. In a pinch you can wash with shampoo at a hotel, wool wash is best. This stuff is so good, I feel uncomfortable when I take it off.

I have purchased over a dozen Icebreaker products and they have all been wonderful. My son is living in a cold and isolated part of eastern Europe, where under garments are a must! Icebreaker clothing can also be worn over extended periods of time without needing washing, which is an extra bonus when clothes washing is unavailable or difficult. Just follow the fabric care instructions and these items will be difficult to wear out.

I own other Icebreaker wear and love them all and this is no exception. I've used this to go snowshoeing in low 30 degree temps and it was more than adequate for warmth and wicking moisture. By the time I got back to my car my skin felt dry and warm and I sweat a lot. This is exactly what you want in a base layer. I've turned from synthetic to merino wool and love that it doesn't smell after and keeps you warm even if it's damp unlike synthetic. I own Smartwool base layers as well and those are just as good but the fit is slightly looser. I would go with either of these brands for merino wool. These just happened to be on sale and I like that you can trace the origin of the wool.

These are by far the best brand of long underwear I have ever used. I'm a mechanic who works outside in Chicago and use these every winter. The weight is perfect if you layer properly. Comfortable whether you sweat or not. Sizing seems spot on. I am 5'10 - 180lbs with an athletic build and I wear size large for the top and bottom.

very comfortable and warm, I only need this legging and my snowboard pants for a 2 degree f day. the flyer is very nice design, I had a patagonia wool3 without out flyer, kind of inconvenient in bathroom the medium fits very well. I am 185cm 85kg just FYI.

Bought as a xmas gift for someone who works outside in the woods every day- he blew out the lightweight version of these within 2 months, hoping the midweights will hold up better. (by the way, he loves them!) As far as the fit goes these are a relaxed fit- I originally purchased a pair of Icebreaker midweight long underwear but they had a much tighter fit (which he did not like, exchanged them for smartwool= happy man)

I have several icebreaker products now, and this one has lived up to my high expectations for this company's products. The leggings keep me unbelievably warm on the mountain, but they don't cause overheating. They also do not feel bulky at all!!!They are lightweight and warm! They are very comfortable and great to just lounge around in when you come in from the slopes. great product!
