Nice jacket
December 22, 2010
My first icebreaker product. Impressed with clean lines of jacket and softness of fabric. Fit is slightly long in sleeves and trim in chest. Arms move freely. Good value
Pros: Build quality, Great value, Cons: trim in chestthick wool layer

- Fits slightly larger than most other Icebreaker layers I own. Shoulder seams are slightly awkward but not a dealbreaker. - Color is a nice dark blue-dray in case you can't tell from the pics. - Very warm, excellent quality - A bit on the expensive side unless you can get it on sale.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostDid you recently buy the Icebreaker Aspiring Zip? Write a review.

Great piece of kit. Holds up well, doesn't smell like body odor after use. Worth the price.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, PerformanceGreat for lounging, but not for activity

The PRO: Awesome fabric! I've worn wool for years, but I never knew wool could be sooo soft against the skin. The next softest insulating wool item I own is the Ibex Ultimate Sweater, but this RealFleece from Icebreaker is absolutely amazing. 5 stars for the fabric. The jacket itself is soft, cozy, and very well constructed. It is a slightly roomy fit (not typical for Icebreaker) so you can wear a thick baselayer or snug midlayer under it. The BIG CON: Activewear tops should allow mobility at the shoulders. However, this jacket is constructed like a men's blazer. When you raise your arm up, the entire jacket is pulled up. That is because the shoulder is not designed for articulation. The angle of the shoulder attachment literally looks like that of a suit blazer. This is my big complaint about an otherwise stunning piece of gear. If you want to lounge around and use it for casual wear, this is an absolutely awesome sweater. If you plan on using it for some sort of high output upper body activity, look somewhere else. Because of the shoulder articulation problem, I cannot recommend this fleece jacket.
