The best mtb socks so far
December 14, 2011
I've tried a lot of socks for mountain biking and find these to be the best. They are the thinnest socks available from Icebreaker, but very cushy and warm even in the upper 40's - lower 50's temperatures. They are still great in summer too while mountain biking. Unlike for the previous reviewer, they are not my choice as lifestyle socks for hot/warm weather. (Feet get too warm) So, I retired my Ultralight PhD socks and use them to only wear casually in summer. Light PhD mountain biking socks look very much like these, but not as durable.
Excellent socks

These socks are very comfortable, and very thin - an excellent choice for warm/hot weather. In addition to it's use as a cycling sock, this sock makes for a good choice as a casual wear summer travel sock, because of its thin, lightweight, wicking & fast-drying qualities.
Pros: PerformanceBest socks ever...

Seriously. These are the best socks I have ever owned. They blow away my other cycling socks. My new personal favorite. I purchased one pair to try out and after a week of use turned around and dumped my old socks and bought a bunch more. In short, they fit perfect, breath very well, and look great. Nice work Icebreaker!
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceGreat Cycling Socks

As I've let it be known previously, Icebreaker products are outstanding, and these socks are no exception. I prefer ultralight cycling socks as they have the least impact on shoe-fit and tend to be just a minimal barrier to prevent rocks/scree/sticks/mud,/etc from ruining your ride. These fit great and are essentially minimal in terms of flash- just great fit, feel, comfort, and quality. Overall, highly recommended cycling socks.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueExcellent biking socks

I love the very thin profile of these socks, they allow me to feel through my shoes to my pedals very well. The left/right distinction really gives the socks a fantastic fit, with no excess bunching up around the pinkie toe. They are also very durable, surviving many hours of riding and wash after wash. I would highly recommend these to anyone who needs a good biking sock during the warmer months.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use
