Not the wool of the past, the fine fiber and itchless merino wool insulates when wet, is odor-free (unlike synthetics), is incredibly breathable, and offers excellent warmth at half the bulk. This top is perfect as a winter base layer when in the backcountry or by itself during a cool weather aerobic activity. The top features raglan sleeves and pushed forward flat-sewn side seams for super long wearing comfort. Recently I purchased the Icebreaker: Men's BodyFit260 Long Sleeve Crew. I knew that I would be in temperatures around freezing for 3 days so I used this piece as a baselayer. The level of comfortability and warmth could not be surpassed. I own several other wool pieces and this will be the one I reach for first. Great product, great price.
