Icebreaker Sizing Chart
Measurements refer to body size not garment dimensions. For information on how to measure, please see diagram below.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
If your measurements are close to two sizes, choose the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.
Chest Measurement: Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest/bust.
Waist Measurement: Place the measuring tape at your natural waist, the narrowest point on your torso.
Hip Measurement: Place the measuring tape around the fullest point on your hips.

First Icebreaker Item
January 04, 2012
This is my first purchase of an icebreaker item. Seems like a great base layer item. Wearing it for skiing in the backcountry. Fits close to the body and works well for wicking without the odour of other synthetic base layer items. Only issue I have, and its a big problem, is that the wool seems to itch. If you have had problems with wool in the past this could be an issue for you as well. I have washed it several times and it still seems to itch. I will probably have to stop wearing this item.Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost, itchy

Great for the cold
September 16, 2011
Very good shirt. This shirt was considerably thicker than 200g version. Has held up well to repeated washes(wore it winter 2010-2011 in Boone NC. Sleeves were a little to long for me but I have short arms for my height. XL fit well, def not tight but more of a relaxed fit on me. I am 5 11 210lbs, 44-46in chest so I tend to be in between L and XL in almost everything. Used it under a med weight soft shell in temps in the mid teens to the high 20's in windy snowy conditions to shovel my driveway and at work(doorman# which entails me standing in front of a door that is constantly opening and closing all night under a long sleeve polo. It wicked well when I started to sweat and kept me fairly warm while at work. I really liked that it took so long for the shirt to begin to stink#up to 2 weeks) when compared to polypro. While the wool was soft I could occasionally feel iritation starting on my upper back and shoulders. nothing to bad but I could tell that I was wearing wool.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance

I wear this shirt as a base layer while skiing. It is light weight but warm. It is form fitting so other layers go on over it with the feeling of being too bulky.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: Cost

Icebreaker Men's Long Sleeve Crewe 260
January 20, 2013
I own three of these now, necessary since I practically live in this as a base layer! The performance claims are all true: it's warm, it wicks away moisture, and it doesn't stink. For example, I spent one morning working hard clearing snow off the driveway. When I came back inside, my Icebreaker base layer was dry, the next layer out (cotton sweatshirt) was soaked. I kept wearing the Men's Crewe; two weeks later, it still didn't smell. My only, very small complaint is that the fit seems to vary from garment to garment: sleeve length, amount of elasticity in the cuffs-- never the same twice. But that's acceptable, it's a great, easy-care base layer.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
no more synthetics
April 08, 2011
great fit base layer. no bulk but not so skin tight either. while skiing wore it during the day and slept in at night. no smell for 4 days. I will now only be using merino wool ice breaker as base layer.. Kept me warmer than the synthetics both during activity and when I cooled down. wonderful quality. note I do machine wash it but hang to dry.Pros: Build quality, Performance
Nice comfortable shirt.
April 06, 2011
I like the feel of wool next to my skin. It is not toasty, but very comfortable. The size is true, I got a large size which is about right for me however after one wash it shrunk into size medium, at most! Now I learnt a lesson never put wool into dryer. Now I have to deal with consequence.......Pros: Ease of use, Great value, Cons: Wears quickly

Used several days in a row and kept me warm. When stopping for a break the breath-ability kept me from overheating. The fit is close against the body. Can be pricey but well worth it.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

My new favorite shirt. It is soft and warm and breathes well. It layers well or wears alone. Performs well for active pusuits and casual enough to wear out and about. I wish that I could buy 3 more...Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost

The 260 Weight Great for 3 Seasons
August 19, 2012
The Icebreaker 260 is a great three season shirt. Merino is my favorite active material, outside of high output outdoor activities in very hot and humid summer conditions. The beauty of this shirt: not only great under a jacket or by itself on a brisk day, but the two-town color makes it good looking as well. The 260 can be my exclusive shirt under my insulated ski jacket and provide the most efficient thermal protection without that hot clammy and stinky feeling you get from warmer synthetics. In my opinion, "nothing beats wool when it's cool." As a casual favorite this two-color shirt looks great with cargo shorts during fall and spring. For sizing, this will depend. I tend to size up from a medium (typical for me) to a large in the 260 if I want to wear it by itself. I'm not looking for the tight muscle look--though my body can handle it. Also sizing up makes up for shrinkage if you put this in the dryer. I do this and find that the 260 weight endures this over several years without too much wear. All merino shirts will wear out, but the 260 weight is much more durable than the 200 and especially the 150--which wear out in two seasons for me. I realize that wool doesn't stink as do many synthetics, but I happen to do my was regularly so this isn't as critical; however, if you are on a 10 day trek then the low stinkage factor of merino is also a big plus. Enjoy.Pros: Great design, Build quality
