Warm, cool, clean and attractive!
Nice color, little on the bluish side. Use this as both a cycling baselayer, and a nice shirt to lift weights or SPIN in. Washes up very well, I use the "hand wash" cycle on my machine and the wool drying cycle. This is my fifth or sixth Icebreaker product in the past two years, all of them have held up well!

Icebreaker is awesome
I travel quite a bit and since I tend to carry very little, I've come to value clothing that requires little care. Over the years I've experimented with different brands, but Icebreaker is, in my opinion, far ahead of anything else. It lives up to all the claims that they state. The surprising thing is that the clothing is so comfortable that I've found myself using most of it as casual wear even when I am not on the road.

Great, high quality T shirt
I love these shirts! I bought one then after trying it out I ended up buying five more in different colors. They are expensive, but they are comfortable, not scratchy, and help you regulate temperature well. They are a little too absorbent for use as an athletic shirt for running etc. I read somewhere that they can absorb 30% of their weight in water. This means if you sweat during exercise then the shirt can get a little heavy compared with thin synthetic shirts. However the "no stink" part of the description is true... This shirt can be drenched in sweat then left overnight to dry (without rinsing it), then the next day it won't smell at all. I've never seen this with other fabrics.

Nice shirt. Relaxed fit.
I'm around 5'10 170 and have 2 of these in size large. They fit alright with a more relaxed fit, not what I would want in a shirt meant to wick sweat. Not sure if I could size down though, due to the sleeves being short. I also wear a size large in the Icebreaker Atlas as well as Smartwool NTS shirts. They fit a little more snug and work better as a base layer in my opinion. If you are looking for a more relaxed fit shirt as normal walk around gear, these are great.

Perfect Shirt
Wore this shirt on a four day backpack trip in the Sierras. Well worth the price, this shirt is very comfortable, lightweight, and stood up to wearing a heavy pack over it. It wicks moisture quite well and the fit seems true to size. This will be my go-to-shirt for hiking.

Merino Wool Tech T
Great shirt. I have 3. Hard to believe it is made out of wool. Colors look great and it fits great. It is not like a cotton t shirt. You can feel the wool, not to the point of being itchy, but you know it's there. Cost is a little steep. It doesn't retain odor so you can wear it several days in a row. Be aware, I wore the shirt on a hot day during a 5 mi hike (106F) and it was wet with sweat. It definitely has a slight odor as with all wool when it gets wet. It dried fairly quickly though.

Good looking and comfortable tee.
I own several long sleeve shirts from Icebreaker because I love their stuff. I purchased this shirt because I needed something for the summer and I love it. It lookgs good and feels comfortable even in hot temperatures (90+). It does hold moisture a little more than fast drying synthetic shirts but it's not a huge difference. I really only noticed it after sitting on a leather carseat in 90+ temps but that's to be expected.
I wouldn't recommend wearing this shirt with just anything. You'll want to wear it with some decent or nice shorts/pants. It's definitely a stylish shirt.
I have nothing bad to say about this shirt and would recommend it to anyone.

Better than Advertised
I've owned 2 icebreaker t-shirts of a similar style for 5 years now. I machine wash and dry them and wear them constantly, year round. Worth every penny - comfortable, durable (no pilling or fraying), and the color is still as black as the day I bought them. I have purchased 2 tech-t lite style from Altrec recently -- looser fit (more like a normal t-shirt) but the quality and performance aspects are identical. You won't regret buying these shirts, and they last!

Another great shirt for my husband!
Purchased the same shirt in a different color last summer for my husband. Shirt has been worn and washed repeatedly - still looks great. Decided to order another in a different color, because even though merino wool CAN be worn for days on end with minimal stink, it's always nice to have an extra on hand.

Excellent active shirt
This shirt is great for warm weather hiking and other outdoor activities. Provides great temperature control, keeping you at just the right temperature, and doesn't get clammy when drenched in sweat. Packs down small, and looks great.

Awesome wool tee
I have other pieces of clothing from IceBreaker that are for winter but was cautiously deliberating whether to buy a wool tee. To my absolute amazement this is a fantastic piece of clothing. I never would have realized how comfortable this would feel. Good length past the waist. No smelly odor when you sweat, wicks well and it dries fast after you wash it. I have worn it all by itself and layered it with my Rock Zip. Talk about being warm. Awesome! One small change from my perspective would be to make the sleeve a tad longer (1/2 inch to an inch). Other than that well worth the money. I'm buying more. Would like to see Altrec offer the long sleeve version as well.

I was pretty skeptical when someone recommended a wool shirt for my upcoming hot weather hike, but this shirt has proved those reservations to be way off. This shirt is light, durable, and extremely comfortable. Not itchy at all like you would expect from wool. It does run a bit slim though, so order a size up from what you usually wear if you want a looser shirt.

Cotton Forgotten ... and Synthetics, too.
We're finally crawling out of winter here in Northwest Ohio, so it's time for some fewer and lighter layers. This Icebreaker Tech T Lite will be my go-to base layer as I run in the early spring. At 5-11, 175 the XL fits well. Great freedom of movement - never restricts what I want to do. And like every other Icebreaker top I own, it provides me with unmatched moisture management. Icebreaker Merino does absolutely still insulate when it's wet. There's only one thing it doesn't do - stink! Once you wear Icebreaker merino wool, you'll forget about cotton and polyester. It does cost a little more, but it's well worth the investment.

Soft and trendy
I bought this tee for my husband who usually wears tees that are synthetic but look "hip" in that they fit close to the body and can dress up jeans. This tee is a great replacement and is so lovely next to the skin. I haven't washed it yet, but out of the box it is luxurious and fits his 6 foot 1 165 lb frame beautifully. The color is sophisticated. This tee is going to be a wardrobe workhorse: good for times when he needs a more dressed up tee and fantastic hiking and hanging around. He already told me he wants more!!

The Best...
...forget the rest, your upper body will thank you daily!
Whether it be yoga, cycling, skiing, backpacking, hiking, trail running, basketball, casual, etc(you get the idea), this is the shirt to wear and live in. No smell after a week of wear and it retains it's natural shape w/out stretching.
And the word to seal the deal...sustainability!
100% merino wool from some sheep in New Zealand. Those sheep are working hard for your enjoyment, don't let them down!

will buy another
pricey, but worth it, will buy more, would like to see same shirt in long sleeves, like to see more color choices.
This is a great shirt to exercise in, take on trips to wear alone or as an undershirt.

The way to start the Day
Belonging to the age class of 70+ I no longer run long hard trails.
I use the Icebreaker 150 Lite Tech for the first clothing next to my skin everyday...I hate the cold feel of cotton and the merino wool is soft with an almost invisible feel..
I am looking forward to the next heavier layer for my trip home to Alaska.

Fit & Fabric
Every Icebreaker garment I've purchased has become a favorite piece in my wardrobe. The Tech T Lite has a slim cut but it is not skin tight. Icebreaker's process also allows the fabric to drape nicely while so far avoiding pilling. As always, Icebreaker offers basic colors as well as interesting shades. Ultimately, the Tech T Lite is a fine choice for layering in cool weather or as a top on sunny warm days.

Quality shirt with high performance
Very comfortable. No scratchy wool feeling.
Wicks well. I have worn this shirt as a base layer in winter while running as well as a single layer in summer. In both seasons, it performs well.
Holds up well with washing (cold machine) and even low heat in the dryer.

A Fine Special Purpose T
Wool blows everything away when it comes to odor control and I wear or bring this T along whenever I travel. Have to spend the night in the airport? You may feel like dung, but at least you won't smell like it. It is reasonably comfortable against your skin (though it can't match an oft washed cotton T) and compares in this regard to many synthetics or perhaps a rougher cotton. It is well made and attractive, with a subtle pucker to the fabric which sets it apart visually. Slim cut. It does not stack up to a good synthetic T for moisture control or wicking, so I wouldn't use this at the gym, but still it is much better at this than cotton and it would be my base layer of choice if I was going to have to re-wear something. In cold dry weather static-cling is an issue. My two have held up well, though I don't put them in the dryer.

Very lightweight performance baselayer
Like many people out there, I was pretty hesitant to spend this kind of $ on a t-shirt, esp when it's close to double the cost of a capilene or MHW baselayer. After wearing this shirt for a few months, I'm convinced that wool is twice as good as any other baselayer I've tried. I actually wore this shirt on a backpacking trip in the middle east (sounds crazy, I know), and was amazed at how well it performed, even in 100F temps. The shirt breathes very well, wicks moisture away from your skin, and best of all, does not retain odor like synthetics tend to do (even when they claim to be anti-microbial).
That said, here are a couple things to keep in mind:
1) This is the lightest-weight wool that Icebreaker makes, which means that the material is super-fine, but is prone to tear more easily than a heavier weight wool or synthetic.
2) These are meant to be used as performance baselayers, which means the fit is definitely snug. I'm 5'9, 160lb and found the medium to be pretty form-fitting. Consider sizing up if you want a looser fit.
3) These shirts dry very quickly on their own, so don't put them in the dryer! Best advice is to hand-wash these garments using a mild detergent, and air-dry to avoid shrinking.
I now own several Icebreaker shirts and found that their fit is slightly different depending on the style. The Tech T is probably somewhere in between the Beast line, which is VERY form-fitting, and the Anaconda V, which I found to be a little roomier. Just something to bear in mind, depending upon your body type.
Overall, this is just a fantastic 4-season shirt, assuming that you give it the proper care, and can afford the price tag.

These shirts are awesome! I just bought my second one because I needed a different color because I have been wearing my first one all the time. This shirt looks and feels much better than its competitors which makes it a "dressy" tee for me.

Worth the money
The icebreaker merino wool tee shirts are all they're cracked up to be. I bought two for a two week hiking trip in Central America, and they were all I needed. It's amazing how you can wear them for days on end in sweltering heat and they stay fresh and odor-free. Perfect for hot weather and a light pack.

All Purpose Shirt
I bought this for a friend of mine last week and he's hardly taken it off since. Luckily the claims are true that merino doesn't tend to smell bad after multiple uses. This is a good all purpose shirt for hiking, running, traveling, or just wearing around the house. Very lightweight and comfortable.

Wish they made officewear, too
I have a longsleeve midweight Icebreaker and this short-sleeve, both bought for a housebuilding trip to Ghana in drought season. They're a miracle of performance in every way--wicking, wash/dry fast, comfort, durability and look.

Performs great
I wore this underneath my motorcycle jacket during my MSF course. Temps in the high 60s to low 70s plus lots of sun on a hot parking lot surface. Wicked sweat well, and dried fast. I always felt comfortable.
