Purchased the Athena sweater in Medium as a gift and it seems true to size. The feel of the wool is very soft and almost cashmere like. It is softer than my 2011/2012 Icebreaker 150 base layers. Since it is Icebreakers, it should wear well and resist pilling. It isn't a bulky knit, either, so should keep you warm without making adding "sweater weight" or wasting precious suitcase space. A black V-neck sweater works for a lot of fashion looks and outfits which should make it a good investment.
