Icebreaker Sizing Chart
Measurements refer to body size not garment dimensions. For information on how to measure, please see diagram below.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE
If your measurements are close to two sizes, choose the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
If your body measurements result in different sizes, we recommend using your chest measurement for tops and your hip measurement for pants.
Chest Measurement: Place the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest/bust.
Waist Measurement: Place the measuring tape at your natural waist, the narrowest point on your torso.
Hip Measurement: Place the measuring tape around the fullest point on your hips.

my second favorite icebreaker clothing item
July 31, 2011
Between my husband and I, we have bought just about 3/4 of the icebreaker line of clothing. Besides the Luna jacket, this is my second favorite clothing item. It sits well on my body even with the extra lumps of fat that I carry. There's and extra wide panel of fabric at the waist that you can fold/adjust for coverage of the midsection, similar to some yoga pants. I can see wearing this throughout the 4 seasons by layering. Extremely flexible for dressing up or down. Can't wait to take this traveling with me.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
love the maya skirt!
October 15, 2012
i have been wearing the maya skirt in hot weather and in cool, it works in all seasons! it stays cool in hot and warm in cool weather due to being merino wool. it dries fast, returns to shape after dry, and has even made it through many rocky seats on the trail. it does run a bit large in fit, i would have ordered an x-small had i known, yet the small is working out just fine.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, flattering
Maya Icebreaker skirt...perfect
March 06, 2013
I have purchased this skirt to ride my cruiser to the square for dinner. I wanted to wear this with a white blouse and my Icebreaker Villa cardigan. My outfit is complete and fun for a dinner out. My height is 5'5" tall and I weigh 111 pounds and debated between the S and the XS. I normally wear between a 4-6. Based on other reviews, I ordered the XS and it is perfect. Without turning over the waistband it hits just below the knee, but it easily converts to a shorter length when waistband is folded. It is light. It will be worn for all seasons. I am now going to buy a second or a third one.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
Perfect Little Black Skirt
August 03, 2011
I was positively pre-disposed to this brand as it has a socially responsible business model. However, the product also has to be great. I was apprehensive mail ordering a skirt as fit is sometimes an issue for me, however, I was delighted that this beautiful skirt fit perfectly (true to size for me) and looks as nice on as in the photo due to the mid-hip fall (not too high for the A-line tent effect, or too low and showy like tulip skirts). This cut is flattering for my shape (pear-shaped). The merino wool is not heavy or scratchy, and will work for any season. The length is just right for me at 5'8", an up-to-the minute looking knee-length. It traveled well too. I love it!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Beautiful skirt; nice soft, stretchy fabric that feels lightweight and sturdy at the same time. I originally ordered a medium (I am curvy, 5' 4", and about 130 pounds), but it was too big. I'm guessing the small would fit well, and I will probably try it. I would recommend ordering a size down.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: sizing runs big

I was disappointed in this skirt, based on the beauty of the picture. I have a roundish kind of figure, and felt I would do better with more flair at the hemline. Also the color is rather muted and as a blonde, I do better in clear colors that are more vibrant. Unlike most of my purchases from Icebreaker (my favorite brand!) this skirt went right back to the store. If the design and color had worked, I would have paid the price as this quality lasts forever.Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Cost, Bad design

It is a nice dress but a bit oversize to me. I usually wear small size (5'5, 110 lb) but still a bit loose. I think with the XS would fit me perfectly. Therefore, I have to return it and may consider to go for the XS next time.Pros: Great design, comfortable, Cons: a bit large in size
