I usually run in Cascadia's but decided that I would like a lighter weight shoe for some shorter races and faster training runs. This shoe is certainly lighter and feels fast. I'm used to a bit more cushion with my normal trainers. I can feel a lot more rocks wearing the Talons. The lugs on the sole make for some great traction in muddy conditions and also seem to add to the cushion on hard pack. The fit seems to be just slightly large to size, but no slipping. The tongue doesn't have to much padding so really having to tighten the laces is not comfortable.Pros: traction, weight
Super light, extremely grippy trail running shoe!

Super light and extremely grippy trail running shoe! The unique rubber compound creates a sure footed running on wet granite surfaces. Shoes offer excellent traction in slippery conditions! Designed for the trail runner who wants a shoe w/ fast stride return, minimal support and excellent grip in all conditions. This shoe is NOT meant for pavement and will wear quickly on anything but dirt/trails.Pros: excellent traction, extremely light, Cons: minimal support, rubber wears quickly on pavement
GREAT TRAIL SHOE

Received these last week and have ~25 miles on rough, rocky single track/double track trails with a lot of elevation change. They felt good immediatly. They felt snug on the downhills with no toe rub. Also,no heel slipping like I've had with my Keen AR86 shoes. I have a relatively narrow and flat foot so it's hard to find a good fit. These are my 3rd pair of INOV8 shoes but the 1st minamalist pair.Pros: look good, great traction
