My new "go-to"
June 06, 2011
Love it. Flirty, cute, comfortable. The length falls to mid-thigh, so it's like wearing a pair of shorts, only more fun! It's what I am grabbing first this summer - for a weekend breakfast out and walk down to the farmer's market and for throwing on at the trailhead to stop for pizza and beer after a climb. I'm 54, 5'7", 135 and purchased a size medium.
Totally Weird Fit

The material seemed nice, but the waist and hips were generous. Not a problem until we get to the legs. The legs of the shorts (as this is a skort) have elastic along the bottom for no known reason (like bike shorts). The elastic was so tight I got that lovely sausage look to my legs with a circumferential pucker of my thigh above and below the elastic. Gross and unnecessary!

5' 4", 110 lbs. person was SWIMMING in size XS, which fits like a M/L, except for the thigh band on the inner shorts that is crazy tight even on scrawny thighs for height/weight. inner shorts aren't the same color as the outer skirt color- the inner shorts is drab grey mesh fabric on both the pink and the dark grey outer color skorts- double yuck! immediately returned both skorts for refund.

I love the way this skort looks and feels - perfect length and silhouette (I'm 5'7" and 148 lbs). The skirt fabric is soft, light and breathable. Underneath it all, though, the shorts were not good for me. I ordered a medium and large but they actually felt like they were the same size; for both of them, the waist fit fine, even loose, but the shorts were way too tight. They are made of a less stretchy and thicker fabric than the skirt and there is an elastic at the bottom, which actually encourages them ride up. OK, I don't have skinny legs but they are not that big either. I'd like to recommend this but only with reservations - it seems cut for one specific body shape but I can't really describe what it might be - I'm curvy, so maybe more straight through the waist? Try it, you might like it - the fabric is really great.
