In the past I have enjoyed a number of ISIS coats, down jacket, coat and light jacket and been enormously satisfied, This one did not make the mark in styling. Sorry.Cons: Bad design

I love this trench very much since i live in Washington where i'm in need of a nice raincoat at all time. I like that it is stylish and i can wear to work or go into a nice restaurant with feeling good. The adjustable waist belt makes it look good and i like the velcro along the zipper when i'm in a hurry and don't want to zip up. I normally wear small for Isis but i choose to wear medium for this trench because of layers i have. I like everything!
"Where did you get that awesome rain jacket?!!"

As a public service, I am coming on here to let the world know that the Isis Raindrop Trench in shade -- which I purchased at Altrec.com -- is worth every penny (although if you can get it on sale, even better). People stop me on the street daily when I'm wearing this jacket to ask me about it. I can't wait in line at a cafe without at least one woman standing behind me coming up to get all the details, or even ask to try it on. Now I want to throw this disclaimer out there: this coat may not look as great on you as it does on me. It cinches in at the waist, so you can really get that tailored look. I'm on the tall side, so it's a good look for me. The other fantastic thing about this jacket is you can wear it with business attire (the trench side of it), or with jeans and your favorite Keens. It's also got some nice technical features. You can go purse free because the pockets are large and have zippers and snaps! There are inside pockets as well.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: Cost
Just what I was looking for!

I was searching for the perfect raincoat and this one meets my requirements and it looks, feels AND fits great! I had tried the Marmot Destination Jacket, but the design and sizing just didn't work for me. I'm 5"6", slim-to-average, maybe 123 lbs and so happy I found and ordered this Isis Raindrop Trench, which I love. I ordered a Medium and the Small would probably have fit, but I like it roomy. Can definitely layer beneath and I like the ease of it. The hood comes very far forward, but when you snap the closures under the chin, it's perfect and protective -- which is what I was looking for: to stay dry in downpours! The pockets are fantastic -- also inside, two mesh pockets -- one open, one zippered, with another open slot for cell phone; and the cinching at the waist is a nice touch. I can wear this easily to work but it's hardy enough to go anywhere and straddle day and evening. I definitely recommend!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value, Cons: none!
Quality rain gear with a touch of charm.

I purchased this for an upcoming trip to Iceland. Hiking in rainy weather will be much more enjoyable in this cute trench! Fit is true to size (maybe even a bit on the roomy side, but it's fitted around the waist and perfect for layering). The feminine detailing on this jacket makes it shine (side belts to cinch the waist, subtle pleats, cute pockets), and I love love love the reef color. It's a very comfortable jacket, and the length will provide great coverage from the elements. Highly recommend.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value
Unusual but Good

I was originally attracted to this jacket because of the longer back length. It seems difficult to find any women's garment that covers my belly button as I am long waisted, and my lower back gets extremely cold- so i need the coverage. The neck zips up high enough to cover my entire neck area as well, which is crucial when cycling down hills - any wind coming in the neck area goes in to chill your whole body... Eeeek ! But I seem to have an unusually long neck [ 4 1/2 inches ] . Also, the tucks at the lower back waist area give it a more tapered fit, which I also was needing as i am long and lean. Most jackets fit like huge sacks with too much room in the chest and waist area. All that fabric just gets in way and is so annoying to have to deal with. There is room to layer a fleece jacket under it, but wearing it alone does not make it look baggy. Overall, it is comfortable... nothing irritating to deal with while getting in and out of cars, cycling, or holding small children. The color was darker than what was on line. I ordered that pale blue but it is closer to a darker aqua... not too bad, i still like it. [TIP : This color is on sale ! ] There are some unusual features that are strange though; snaps on the outside of the elbow region to roll up sleeves... Who would want to roll up their sleeves on a rain jacket all the way to the elbow and get their arms wet? Also, there are buckle adjustments at the waist in addition to the tucks in the back of the waist to further bring in the waist if needed. The tucks at the back alone seem to bring the waist in enough, [and I am pretty thin ] so I am concerned that the buckles at the waist will get in the way when I am wearing back pack with a hip belt, while cycling or doing up my seat belt in my car. I wonder if a simple drawstring on the inside of the jacket could have achieved the same result without all these features. But i DO like the tapered fit... it just seems they went through a lot of trouble in the design to get this fit. I suppose I could cut those waist tabs off as well... I use it for cycling, and the fewer bells and whistles , the better. Also, the front flap pockets look large on line, but when lifting the flap, I found a zipper that is more narrow than the size of the pocket which makes it difficult to get my hands in and out, [ and i have small hands ] ! so i will carefully clip the zipper out of there with some sharp scissors, in an effort to make the pocket opening a bit larger... I don't need zippers on pockets that I am only using for gloves and a hankerchief. There is a large pouch style pocket on the inside at the hip area, and another zippered pocket on the other side of the inside hip area ~ so lots of space to hide a sandwich or hat, cell phone, etc. Also, the fabric is nice... soft , not too thin, not stiff and lacks that rustling sound : ) . Close up there are tiny dots on the fabric in a slightly darker color... [ kind of strange] which cannot be seen if more than 10 feet away. There is also minimal velcro - which i like... Snaps are used over the zipper closure near the neck, and velcro on sleeves at the wrist and again covering the lower body zipper flap. I could do without all these unusual features, but i was desperate for a jacket that covered my long neck, long waist and hip area. And thank goodness it comes in colors other than black ! The hood covers nicely, keeps me dry, does not interfere with visibility, is easy to pull up and take down with one hand, and i am comfortable and dry walking in the rain. There are tucks and gathers near the collar bone to accommodate a full bust and more tucks near the shoulder area to facilitate freedom of movement in the shoulder area without being baggy. Even though I am VERY small busted, [ only 32 " ] this jacket is still flattering for me though the chest area, and not baggy or nerdy looking at all. I am kind of amazed [ and happy ] at how they achieved this fit and look with the design. It is stylish and flattering to my figure , [ 5'5" 120 , long and lean ] and i usually take a medium in outerwear , and this one fits me perfect in a medium. If you are thicker through the middle, you can adjust the waist belt tabs to offer more room, as it is adjustable, and the tucks at the collar bone will accommodate a larger bust . The strings that pull the hood tighter are kind of long, and can get in the way when doing up the zipper all the way to the chin, but all that needs is a hand to tuck them in. All in all I am happy with this jacket- [ and I am picky ] It gives my legs that extra coverage to stay warm and dry, and I can freely sit on wet logs or benches while waiting for a bus. And although it is Spring here in the Pacific Northwest, it is still cold when it rains, so that extra long coverage over the entire hip area is very nice to have. Well done Isis, a few tweeks and I'd say almost perfect !Pros: Great design, Great value, longer back length, nicely fitted, neck zips up high enough, lots of pockets
