Remarkably Quick

Only used on two backpacking trips so far, but so far, I am very favorably impressed. Easy to pack & unpack. Fairly compact and lightweight. Insulation on cup works fine - I had not used earlier Jetboil model, so no complaints from me. Remarkably efficient and heats water very quickly. Jetboil handled strong winds easily - I had two full containers of boiling water while my friends with pocket-rockets struggled to keep their flames protected from the wind. They appreciated the hot coffee I shared but not my gloating. Love it!

I bought the JetBoil Sol as a birthday present for my boyfriend and we immediately tested it out on an overnight camping trip. WOW! It boiled water in well under two minutes and also heated a 9" fry-pan very easily! Our food cooked very quickly and we were amazed at the JetBoil's versatility in helping us make creative meals while camping. The heat indicator on the side of the companion cup is very helpful in determining when the water is at the desired temperature, and the "cozy" with handle for the companion cup made the cup very easy to hold and drink/eat from. The JetBoil was easy to assemble and carry in a backpack, and cleanup was also a breeze. We can't believe that all of the parts, including the fuel canister, can be stored inside the cup! We had no trouble igniting the burner and the operation of it was foolproof. We also purchased a second cup ("companion cup") as well as the JetBoil utensil set and are very excited to try out more JetBoil accessories!
