Simply The Best!
April 21, 2009
I have had three pair of Julbo glasses which I use almost exclusively in the mountains: Nomad, Drus and Colorado. The Colorado are the best glasses I have ever worn. They are very comfortably; they do not allow any light or glare in from the periphery; they stay put. The price is right too!

Good glacier glasses, but prefer the Julbo Dirt. Were good for use on Whitney, but on ice at Ouray were limiting peripherally. Fit well, durable, but be aware of limitations.Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

this is my second pair and I love 'em! The bendable earpieces allow them to stay put for extreme use or change for everyday wear
Julbo Colorado sunglasses

This is the 3rd pair I have owned. I drive a lot and I am also prone to ocular migraines- caused by bright light. These are phenomenal sungalsses -they cut the glare in both sun and snow and I am sure they keep lose lines from forming around my eyes from squinting. So, they keep you young too!
Great Fit, Great Protection

Very comfortable and do an excellent job blocking the sun, especially on the high peaks. With winter climbing conditions upon us here in Colorado, eye protection is a must-have.
Not just for the glacier

These glasses are perfect for our Florida sunshine, which can be totaly blinding if your on the water(and why wouldn't you be!). Fastest shipping I've seen, as well.

Great use with sailing!
Not suited for small headed women

The lens themselves were a good fit on the face and gave good protection, however, the adjustable earpieces were too long and visible at the bottom of the ear, weird overhang. Would be better if earpieces were shorter.
This is my third pair of Julbo sunglasses.

I have enjoyed wearing all three pairs of Julbo sunglasses. This pair in addition to protecting my eyes also has a nice carrying case that I can loop around my belt. I like the flexible frames that add to the comfort of wearing these glasses as well as the side shields that provide additional protection of your eyes from the sunlight. You can't go wrong with these sunglasses in my humble opinion.
Ok fit, not wonderful
October 14, 2012
They stay on your face fairly well, but for me it was hard to have them on where they did not constantly hit my eyelashes. When I pulled them out far enough to where they did not hit my eyes, they let light in the top. I've owned many sunglasses, and though I may have longer than usual eye lashes I suppose (I dunno?), I think the fit could be a much better. Over all they're still good glasses, and the lenses are awesome. If they tweaked the fit a little, I think they'd be worth their weight in gold.Pros: Build quality, Cons: fit awkward, let light in the top
A good buy

Light weight and very comfortable glasses. Side shields are easily removed for around-town use and easily reintalled for harsh light situations. Great for hikers/trekkers.

I first tried these when I needed something for driving and left my usual pair at home. Simply amazing, and very relaxing to look through. I usually have a hard time with fit, but these felt custom made.
By far, the BEST pair of sunglasses for mountaineering!
September 23, 2008
These are the most comfortable sunglasses I've ever worn. They adjust to my face, which is small and they adjust to my husband's face which is wider. It does a superb job in blocking out the intense sun here at high altitude.
Best active/sport sunglasses I can find
June 26, 2010
I've bought 2 pair of these sunglasses. The first is still going strong, but starting to show some age (after 4-5 years), so I'm ready to rock when I finally destroy/lose that pair... I wear them when kayaking, the sides are removable. They are extremely comfortable and have very good clarity. My hat size is 7 5/8. Most sunglasses are too small. These are perfect. Highly recommended.

You don't have to spend lots of money for glacier sunglasses. Julbo Colorado sunglasses got it all 100% UV protection light weight, easily adjusted to fit right and the price is just right. I like it. Thank you.

I have owned this pair for about 5 years now. They are awesome. Also they are the best sunglasses in the world if you suffer from migraines like I do. The lenses really dark and the side shields protect sensitive eyes from external light. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM !!!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Really Great Sunglasses
April 12, 2011
I wanted a pair of sunglasses that I could use when I run. These are just the thing! They stay on well, with a nice fit over and behind the ears. They Breathe---No problem with fogging up glasses due to heat or sweat, even with the little side pieces. The side pieces are Wonderful! They truly keep the sun out---no more squinting eyes. I highly recommend them. Yea! Thanks for carrying these!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

High quality, good fit, very comfortable, x6 lens are great and a nice case included. If need you something to block out the sun/glare these are the answer!
May 16, 2011
I've been looking for a good pair of sunglasses with side shades for quite some time. They don't sell this type in the sunglass stores at the mall, so I had to find them on-line. They're perfect for driving a convertible because they prevent the sun from shining through the open spaces between your face and the sunglasses. Everything is crystal clear through the lenses too. The ear pieces take a little getting used to, but once you get used to them, the sunglasses actually fit better than your average off-the-shelf pair of sunglasses. I rated them excellent for durability, but I can't really make that assumption just yet as I've only had them for a month so far, but as far as durability over a month, no issues.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: none so far.

I must say that these glasses are very comfortable. Definetely hides the sun with help from the side shields even in worst case situations. Can be removed if desired. Light weight and great for outdoor use.Pros: Great design, Performance

May 01, 2006
I received these sunglasses and was immediately impressed with the case and look of the glasses. The best part was that when I put them on, they fit. I have a small head and they were very comfortable and did a great job of keeping the sun and glare out of my eyes. I'll be using these for my Arctic and Alaska trips in the coming year!
January 19, 2008
these are some of the most comfortable sunglasses i have ever worn. great ability to block sun and wind with the side shields. highly recommend trying a pair.
Awesome, comfortable glasses!

These are very nice and yet not too dark like some glasses I've worn... I like em!!! I'm gonna use em on Mount Rainier this summer.
Great lightweight glacier glasses
December 15, 2000
These glacier glasses are very stylish. Usually, when buying a pair of glacier glasses all the choices look like something George Leigh Mallory wore on Everest. These glasses are stylish, lightweight, convertable and easy to adjust to fit. Need I say more. Oh yeah, they come with a rather large but bullet-proof protective case. I have been very happy with mine, and look forward to hitting the slopes and mtn's with them.
Comfortable, very effective in blocking glare

I bought my first Julbo Colorado glasses 9 years ago when I had lasik surgery to improve my vision. My eyes were and still are extremely sensitive to bright sunlight and these worked great for keeping the headaches down. About 3 years ago I wore out the rubber tubes on the ear pieces and started wearing other sunglasses and the headaches were coming back. Two weeks ago I slipped on the old pair of julbo's and couldn't believe the difference between them and the other sunglasses I've been wearing. I just ordered another set and look forward to another 6 or 7 years of wear.
open your eyes

Some like it hot...and some like it dark! If you are looking for sun glasses with a difference, both in looks and protection, grab some Julbo glasses. Just 30 seconds in bright sunlight is all it takes to realize their superior protection. Say goodbye to squinting as your eyes completely relax and take in the fine details around you. Plus, the removable side sheilds keep out wind, dust, and stray light.
